i have an airsoft Rifle. Stock ics gearset, guarder sp130 spring. SHS super high speed motor. stock ics gearbox and other stock ics stuff. paired it with a 2200 mah nanotech 25-50c,
produces 500 fps @ 34 rounds per second. tell me where's that gonna break with a lipo thing 101stairsoftdivision.
the bevel gear stripped? this can only happen from improper installation or incompatibility am i not right? The spur or sector would strip long before that
Lipos do somewhat break your gun if you dont lipo ready it. If u stick a lipo in lets say a non upgraded jg, dont expect it to last very long, with correct upgrade parts and good shim job, ur gun wont be harmed that much.
All guns are technically "lipo ready" its just some dont last as long
@gamewiz0070 lamo yea at almost 3 times the cost ...the whole point of this gun was to build the internals with an extremely low budget while still reaching performance
@101stAirsoftDivision break* not brake you fucking retard and i hate it when retards like you always think running lipo batteries on your gun is gonna break it your gun right away no.. it simply does it faster since obviously your gun is shooting a lot faster (in terms of rof) but if you shim your guns really well, have a good gear and piston set up and the angle of engagement is perfect your gun can last you hundreds of thousands of rounds..so get your facts straight dip shit
@101stAirsoftDivision Why does everyone have the impression that a lipo will "break" your gun. It wont, if you shim your gears and make your aoe perfect and have the right parts it wont. If you know what your doing, you'll be fine. Obviously, if you have a crappy piston then youll have to replace that and if you have plastic bushings they they might melt but as long as you know what your doing and set everything up. it'll be fine :P
@ARX7ARBALESTZ7 but even if you just used it in a stock JG, all thats gonna happen is a possible stripped piston and will fry the trigger contacts which are both moderately inexpensive to replace. Tbh, all you really need is a mosfet, and to make sure that you wont encounter pre-engagement and obviously shimming and aoe.
@DUDESKIN118 That's true, AWS mosfet + shim job + shave 2nd to last tooth/AOE = all good. Well for me at least that's what i do but i pretty much swapped out everything since Ares is shit.
@fanofCOH did I say gears? No I didnt , I said gearboxes, which relates to the overall build design from the manufacturer. Example: too many shims, and the return springs are all way to stiff.
@pilerheritage must be because all ive heard is these horror stories about em. yet people foam at the mouth over myne and simply ask how. i will admit that my gun gets taken down after every game or 5k round wich ever comes first and all the parts are looked over with the utmost care lol. in other words, i baby it. every part has held up like a tank under its m110 spring and 30rps. ive never stripped a piston or shredded a gear. so hey, im happy lol

sirgayslayer 6 days ago
@sirgayslayer It will probably strip the gears I would recommend a set of 13:1 steel high speed gear set made by SHS.
SpamOThing 4 days ago
@sirgayslayer If you don't run a mosfet, your trigger switch will probably burn up before the piston fails, if you use 11.1 volts or higher.

you said 300 like its nothing... u gearbox newbies have no idea how to optimise a gun

How long do you think ball bearing bushings will last on a 9.6 with m120 ?

will this happen to my G&P m4 if i use a 9.6 and only use semi-auto? thanks
iplayairsoft3000 8 months ago
@iplayairsoft3000 If it's stock, yes. G&P is a high end company and can last a good amount of time even on a 9.6v on full auto.
azndragon10 6 months ago
get the G&P devil jet M170 and ull get a faster RPM than the m120

@DUDESKIN118 Lol I'm guessing becausing people always used an 11.1v with a craptastic gun. I've always ran an 11.1v and when upgraded it's all good.

G&P stock gearboxes are pure garbage. Do not buy a G&P.

@pilerheritage the only thing garbage about this is what you wrote. i've never had a problem with my G&P gears, 30rps later/50k rounds old...
