  • Poetry can be a fiction and many editor-type people I know say it is not about the truth per se. So there were glaring points missing in my first rendition of the grandmother, and my friend, she wanted it more to to do with the truth. So the first version captures the zany; the second probably the more complete versification of Grandma's story. I'll continue working on it and before long there might be a third version. Thanks for your kind words always. Your acquaintance is my plseasure.

  • Interesting additions to the first poem. I thought the addition was heartfelt and warm, but I can't quite agree that they carried across the same spirit as the first, nor did it flow the same. I could very well be wrong. And, as you say, it is narrative poetry, so the narrative must have its say, as well.
