I don't know why all the critics hated on this game. Yeah, it has it's flaws, but it's nice to see a good return to -classic- survival horror, and it's user-unfriendly style is what I love the most about it. It's not one of those games where you can just run around doing whatever you want, because you have a ton of backup saves. It's trial and error. It forces you to think things out. It's a fun break from all that -fast- BS that's coming out these days, where you have a ton of ammo and health.

They sold it like its the final game. I saw flashy previews looking much smoother than the actual gameplay and bought it on PS network. The game runs pretty choppy, but the biggest problem is you die in areas over and over because its fairly unclear what you are supposed to do. And its usually a very specific task, which if you dont do exactly, then an invincible enemy kills you. Repeat this for each new area. When you die, you have to replay very long sections :/

Man when I got to 1:28 in my game I had already opened that gate thing before finding Amy so basically I shit myself yelling "RUN AMY FUCKING RUUU-" then I died. Then I got past that part and am now frustrated because I have to sneak around this area with no idea what to do other than try to get in a room with a keycard. As Sage said, the game had potential, but when the game constantly limits you until you find something that says "GO HERE, DO THIS" it can be pretty annoying.

I really wanted to like this game and had few issues with it in the beginning, but now having gotten to Chapter 4 it's just too frustrating for words. This game falls short in the survival department. I like being able to discover things and do things based on my instinct, not the developer's. There's no room for exploration or deviation from the linear plot whatsoever. It's like playing out a story book, only it doesn't always work. The hit or miss combat makes surviving based luck, not skill.

Also Brad? It all depends on the popularity of the Game Genre. Since this is Old School Survival Horror, it tends to not do so well with the younger generation; that is, the kids who like RE5 and MW3. This game looks lovely.
