i just had it for dinner for mothers day today...i breed a lot of grade 1 Red arowanas and they just taste good and filling...last year i did it steamed..this year we had a good barbecue arowana....there goes my $20000 prize winning fish....

i always thought they looked a little like saltwater barracudas. jus a little more wavy. i want one but i hear there hella agressive. are silvers? i have a 180 gallon with a soft shell turtle,clown knife, blk ghost knife,2 parrot cichlids,jack dempsy cichlid, freshwater barracuda, needle nose gar, tiger pleco,tiretrack eel, and 8" clown knife. the knife is the biggest. would i be able to house a silver or some other arowana that i could keep in the US? please help.

i saw small silvers at petco for like 65 dollars xD. maybe you can get them bigger and add them to your tank?

if you want a silver first you would have to buy a bigger tank because they get 4 feet long( 300 gal) then dont put any other type of fish except catfish and large plecos because they will attack anything else

@cheesemaster2367 That's not true. I had a silver aro last year and it was about 8" long. My catfish is about maybe 18" long. On July 3rd night, my catfish killed my silver aro. QQ
