  • Wow. Um.... slow down?

  • idk but a teacher at my school has a 1tb flash dont ask me how

  • @XIjaysonbyrdIX

thats 99.99 percent probably not a flash drive but a portable hard drive that costed around 500 dollars new

  • what OS are you using

  • wat happens if your thumb drive compress the software help

  • just use the live cd. its not like the usb will do anything different.

besides, you'll need that seperate from the ram disk os if u want it to save any work or data.

  • just use Ubuntu's Live USB Installer (System -> Administration -> USB Startup Disk Creator) -.-

  • super tough to get persistant memory with that installer.

its just to see what its like.

I think u need to be well versed at shell scripting to get it to save data.

  • that wouldnt work cause the admin blocks exe files that arnt already installed on the computers at my college

  • fuck im dizzy

  • I'm installing Ubuntu so I guess I'm real geeky then :P

But can I boot it from school computers and have Administrator privileges and stuff?

    Nice vid btw. 5/5 ^^

  • If you boot it before it loads windows, yes, because the school probably did not mod the BIOS...

    In ubuntu, you have control!!!

but although the computer wont catch ya the teacher/ monitor will...

  • well yea, its a whole new os. but what administrator privileges will you get,(regaurding school files) (oh, like internet filtering?),,

  • Was wondering if this way allows my cache to be tranfered to the thumb drive for safer internet surfing?? And if this is a dumb ? oh well. If i ask that means more want to know or dont understand.

  • Usually the files like cache are saved in the same folder as the browser, so it will be carried on the stick. However if it is stored in the temp files. It'll be on the windows disk.

  • dude they change the emulator and ROM site but does it still work the same way

  • great vid mate

  • how many friggen drives do you have!?

  • Does anyone know if you can boot XP from a flash drive?

  • Yeah, you can, but it's a freaking hassle. You'd be better off booting some form of Linux from one, or using something like Mojopac or Portable Apps that uses an existing XP installation as a host OS.

  • nice please people visit mu chanel for mor.

  • Avira rules, also

try Ceedo, it makes your usb completley USB only.

  • Too bad my pc cant boot off SD Cards.

  • you may be able to boot off the SD card with an external USB SD card reader. I'm able to do this. I find the SD card is slower than a USB memory stick.

  • this is a great vid thanks, i can rly use it to get ahead, because my school will be dual booting this yr w/ linux and novell so i need to get linux ...thanks again

  • thanks man

  • Yes you can download them individualy

  • If your going to boot a OS directly from a flash drive then just use Baremetal. It uses VMware to allow you to run any OS you want including Windows. u3,creedo, and portable apps all do the apps bar and all have a varity of software available for them. All 3 are a little diffent though. Of course the grand daddy of all these methods is Thinstall. Assuming you have the technical know how to use it.

  • Cant believe I forgot to mention Mojopac another great way to have a portable desktop where ever you go. The one draw back about it though and the main reason I would use thinstall instead is that Mojopac requires admin rights on a computer to run where as all those other options I mention dont.

  • Thas is great vid!!! :D

  • Thanks man it seems that all your vids help me!!! now i can do things on my site every where! xD
