@tangajnjn You need to find a non-steam GMOD server with this mod, then, but there's barely any non-steam servers at all, so just buy Garry's Mod, it's cheap. Thought it is also recommended to have Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode One, Half Life 2: Episode Two and Counter Strike: Source as content from those games is used in various GMOD servers (you can mount various game content on GMOD, that's the most common you'll see, Team Fortress 2 is also common, but not so much).

@nornan12 Yes, it requires a valve game engine to buy it. I have a mac, and i am maybe buying half life 2 deathmatch, because it is the cheapest to get Gmod. Try go to steam website, find Gmod, then there should be a textbox (under the pictures) with a list of games that you can use. *Hope i could heeeeeeelp!!*
