  • Enjoyed the ride and not a drop of beer was spilled watching this.. LoL!! In fact, I hardly took a sip of my beer as I was so mesmerized by ride and the view! Please upload some more, maybe with Mil Comms or civil ATC would be fantastic. Thank you for your service usnhobbz. Gotta click the Replay button now!!!

  • Excellent video sir! Were you doing your low levels over the North Cascades by chance? THat looks very familiar for some reason. Please post more like this!!

  • I'am going to naval academy in 3 weeks, i'am under so much pressure because my dad and brother are both aviators :////(Well, they are NFO's,)

  • You sir are my hero.

  • Thanks usnhobbz, great vid. I'd pay good money to take that ride! :)

  • One of the best Cockpit view on Youtube no question. I'm surprised the bird still sorta sounds like a Hoover vacuum inside. What are you gong to do when you upgrade to Growlers? Strap the Camera on the your helmet?

  • fighissimo complimeti beatiful yeahhhh.ciao ragazzi italy

  • Excellent video, well shot. Some fantastic terrain to fly, one of the best uploads ive seen in a long time! Cant beat Grumman iron! Stay safe mate.

  • Prowler by name, Intruder at heart. Great aircraft. Phenomenal footage. God bless you and the all the real pilots (as Real pilots only fly Navy) we have in the US Navy

  • Beautiful Video! A few observations, and open questions: Observation A: The top of your instrument panel looks the the dash of my old truck. Observation B: I was not aware of EA-6Bs being remotely maneuverable. Question A: Are Queers still as loud as old A-6s? Because when I was stationed near NAS Oceana, they'd wake the dead.

  • Biggest thrill there is...

  • amaing vid man.

Keep tem coming, id pay alot to fly like that for just a hour or two :)

    cheers,dom

  • freakin awesome

  • idk if you know this but could you be a air crewman on this type of plane? without a college degree or anything like that?

  • is there a set flight path, or are you taking your own lead?

  • You know if you'll be making the transition to Growlers? You stationed at Whidbey? My uncle is a retired A6 B/N and he's a part of a flying club stationed on the island. Got to fly in to there in a Cirrus. Was pretty wild landing on an active naval airbase with Growlers and and P3's flying around :D

  • Hey, what do you know about pilot slot chances in ROTC vs OCS?

  • Want to fly one one day.

for the time being, I'm an HM,

    but one day...

  • Why does the interior look so beat up, are they going to be replaced?

  • @ohioavaitor they've been around since the early sixties and were designed in the late fifties.

As long as the instrumentation works, there's really no need to replace anything superficial. It's my favorite bird in the sky for sure. Perfection never goes out-of-date.

  • Nice memorys

  • Great video, just the sounds of the jet and no stupid music. Looks like a fun lowlevel.

  • Need to put some armor all on that dashboard. It's all cracked up.

  • very cool!

  • Thank you for posting this video, it's totally AWESOME!!! And thank you for not putting any terrible music to the video, it's much better to hear what it sounds like in the plane.

  • this jet looks so agile considering it's size an weight. Cool machine.

  • espectacular.

    que envidia.

  • looks like ur dogfighting an imaginary 747

  • @bombardierdude15

    XDDD..

  • Do you know if the navy will be accepting new pilots in 2012, 2013? I'm still in college and I just wanted to know.

  • @Bomyster3000 It's going to be sent out of service in 2015 i belive pproductions already stopped so most likely there will be a ton of experience pilots before you so IF you have what it takes you might fly the New Ea-18G super hornet lookalike tbh

  • @Bomyster3000 The Navy will always be accepting new pilots. The only reason why there's a waiting list is because competition is so high.

  • @Bomyster3000 The Navy is always looking for more pilots. I went through OCS after college. If you don't get selected the first time just keep applying. Also, don't let any recruiter talk you into putting SWO, Supply Officer, etc on your application. You can leave your 2nd and 3rd choice blank if all you want to do is be a pilot. Naval Aviation is NOTHING like the rest of the Navy (i.e. it's a lot better.)

  • @usnhobbz Thanks for the information, I'm going to Embry Riddle for the fall and I just wanted to keep my options open after graduation. I know there's noway in hell I'll get a job at the airlines after college.

  • This is probably the best cockpit filmed flight sequence I have seen to date, no joke!

The definition and the landscape are just amazing, not to mention the flying.

Just out of interest, what is the Prowlers's VMO/MMO?

  • @Janspeed69 It's mainly limited to 0.86 Mach or 550 KIAS due to equipment on the aircraft. If that's removed, it's only limited by how fast you can get her going. :-)

  • @usnhobbz LOL, 550 KIAS is damn good with all the equipment hanging about!

  • fantastic:-))) !!!!

  • bucket flys good :)

  • wow this is beautiful

  • Boy that brings back memories of my former life as an A-6 Intruder Bombardier/Navigator!!!! It also brings back memories of popping over a ridge in France in an A-3D Skywarrior and taking evasive action to avoid hitting a tow-plane and the two sailplanes it was towing.

  • You Navy flyboys are something else...

  • I will miss this Bird. Love it it rumbles over my house at Red Flags

  • Are you still flying with the navy?

  • @Helicopterpilot16 I am. I've been pretty bad at responding to comments due to YouTube being blocked while on deployment.

  • @usnhobbz Thank you for your service and protecting us Northwesteners!

  • Hobbz - please post the second half - that's the best part!

    Vr, Tails

  • Nice. What part of the world was this shot at?

  • That's my point. But I suppose I have to keep in mind technology. I agree the 2 man crew will have more on their plate, but perhaps the technology advances will also assist in their mission and workload and ultimately give the crew more safety. I am convinced. I guess I was just a fan of the EA6B and balked at change. Good luck with the Growler (although luck is never a factor) and keep up the good work. From your Aussie mates.

  • usnhobbz - i know iknow, that was a rather bold statement. But, if I am waiting for you to fly into my ESM area, will I see you?

  • Gollie, I can assure you that in the EW community the pilots do not "want it all to themselves." Their responsibilities to the EW mission will increase as a result of not having the two additional ECMOs flying with them. The EWO in the back of the EA-18G will also have a lot more on his/her plate. Not only because of the reduction in aircrew, but due to the more advanced systems on the Growler.

  • usnhobbz forgot to add the seating. Anyone who is not a pilot knows that many hands make lite work. Pilots want it all to themselvs. What I am saying is, an attack A/C that seats 2 side by side front and rear - 4, deserves a lot of consideration before you boys decide to dump it. You can fly it, but what do know about EW at the same time mate.

  • I wanted to fly the Prowler. But I don't think there will be any left by the time I get to the fleet. Unless I decide to be a Marine pilot, but why would anyone do that? ;)

  • i'm hoping to maybe be an NFO on one of these... or a pilot if they change the PRK refraction limits. too bad they're being retired soonish

  • 7:29 to 7:46 was one of the smoothest rollouts ive ever seen. damn easy hands, great piloting.

  • Best Low Level in the world. Gotta love it! I'll bet the Growler dudes are digging it, too!

  • Phew, you are right. Who is we? But you are right. I still live in a world that works on teamwork. I miss 4.

  • Not true. We are all transitioning to the EA-18G Growler, and because of small electronics we have to deal with even more advanced systems packed into the airframe. The pilot will by no means be able to do it all.

  • Sorry guys, from what I understand, you are losing your aircraft...all 4 seats. sad. Technology has gotten so small, the pilot can do it all. Sad sad sad.

  • There's nothing wrong with the windscreen. If you're referring to the specks, those are just bugs we hit.

  • Have m/c write the maf to the AE's not Airframes

  • Need to order a new glare shield

  • yeah, its been a while for me too (navy service) many moons ago etc.

  • Amazing video! Thanks!

  • Awesome..thanks for mentioning the camera too...I was stationed at Whidbey many moons ago.....

  • Love it. I left the Australian Navy in 1988 as an EW and found myself watching utube for these great A/C. Thanks for taking the camera onboard. Windy up front, but I can still hear the engine revs. Surely it isnt legal to fly up that highway so low? Good scenery too. Thanks again, keep up the good work.

  • What are the back seaters doing while you're having all this fun?

  • Wow! I enjoyed that thoroughly. What were you doing there? Looking for underground magnetic analomies, such as polarized photonic antenna arrays? Nahh, just joking...I know you're out celebrating and for good reason. You just saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico.
