Lincoln lived in a time when basic human rights for black people and other minorities were the enemy. He stood against that enemy and gave those people their rights. GITMO is a place where human rights do not exist, and that is WRONG. We are not a nation of torturers.

Lincoln was an upright Republican who openly embraced Christian principles. Obama doesn't want unity, he wants socialism. Moreover, he is a Liberal, which is the new savvy term for "democrat". Lincoln would have laughed at his policies.

You seem not to know that Lincoln was against interracial marriage, and the right for black people to hold public office. Something that almost ANYONE today would laugh at.
Obama embodies the spirit of what Americans want. They want change... and not the kind of change that comes from finger pointing, lies, and deception. Lincoln offered the same embodiment for what Americans wanted in his time. In this way they are very much the same.

It's worth noting that the Republican party, back when Lincoln was president, had the same exact policies as the Democratic party does today. Same goes fro the Democratic party in Lincoln's time and the Republican party today.
