  • Dear god, I love the muppets and all but this is painful to watch.

  • I think it's high time they brought this back.

  • @DisneyMagic1697 The definitely do NOT have this anymore.

  • they brung the muppets back :D its in disney studio iforgot what it called. i went in christmas 2009(:

  • holy crap, Animal is scary looking in this. 0-0

  • That giant frog is scary.

  • Omg they used to have this in Disney!!!!!!:)

  • @TheKermitgirl13 They still have this in Disney!

  • Quit dissing...it was pretty good not the best but good

  • hey wans,t muppet show in 3d

  • Dear god this sucked...

  • Animal looks like an epileptic rag doll.

  • That Animal is pretty fightening! lol but this is a great show! i would have loved to see it live. but i agree though. the muppets don't really work as well as Sesame Street characters as full-body suits

  • WOW insanely bad show

  • I love it - great reading the stories by Cast Members involved! One silly question; I always thought Janice played her bass left handed on TV?

  • Holy crap! I'm a huge Disneyworld fan and I have NEVER heard of this show! Thank you for posting! The Muppets just don't work as full-size characters, though, do they...

  • were in disney was this at

  • I remember waiting in line for what seemed like hours to see this, then around 3:16 Animal scared the shit out of me and I hauled ass out of the theater screaming like a banshee and have had reoccurring nightmares ever since.

  • To the Brothers, Daws,

Thank you for saving this show from oblivion, I was also in the opening cast. It was a great show and the people in it were top notch. Again, thank you.

  • I love the picturephone system.

  • et tu kermit?

  • @jetmtn your french ! non kermit

  • This is where voyage of the little mermaid is today

  • How long was this attraction in MGM ( I will never call it Disney Studios) is this where the now Muppets 4D is?

  • there kinda scary big!

  • @crazyramus I know it scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. I ran out of the theater lmao.

  • @VampireKingDuz I glad I'm not the only one! That was I think the only time I ever reacted poorly to a walk-around character, Disney is full of them and I had no problems with the big Tiggers, Mickey Mouses, Dwarves or anything. I wasn't one to run off without an adult either. The fear it must have put into my little body... xD

  • Jim Henso nDied too soon... :{

  • This was amazing!!! Thank God I got to see it before they got rid of it.

  • BRING IT BACK WITH PUPPETS

  • Is Miss Piggy's mouth moving at all?

  • Oh thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I try to tell my kids and other people about this show but they have no idea what I'm talking about because it's not there anymore! I got to train with Kermit and it was such an honor. Janice and Animal always made me laugh.

  • @scottndori The coolest thing for me was the training. We watched zillions of Muppet shows. Unfortunately I was not there yet when Jim Henson and the real Muppet people were there, but I really enjoyed all of their training videos. Disney is very thorough when it comes to training. Jim Hensen died shortly before I got there so the people involved in the show were very heartbroken about that. I still choke up when I hear, "It's Not That Easy Being Green."

  • When piggy threw her robe on the screen I could see part of her naked! EEww!

  • Note: Keep to the puppets NOT costumes! Disney! You know better!!!!

  • "HI BABY! HI BABY!" Can Animal get any cuter?

  • Kinda sounds like a predecessor of one of Elmo's routine antics in his little "Elmo's World" shticks, where he talks to a baby... Wait a sec! Hmm... (imagines Animal doing "Animal's World", complete with a theme song going "Rah rah rah, ANIMAL'S WORLD!!!!!!!!") Now THAT would be awesome and hilarious!

  • wow. my first trip to WDW was in 1993, so this must have been gone by then. Too bad i never saw this in person.

  • this show is kinda ok...i kinda like it =). the best part wen miss pigy with the green make up and paused for few second and looked at the t.v. and screamed XD

  • yh "miss piggy this is a picture call we can c u!"

    *looks up*

    "ARRRRRR! i'll be right there!"

  • I was little(3 or under) when this was playing, but I do remember some of it. I LOVED "personality".

  • yo, does anybody know how they make the mouthz move and still move both arms?

  • We held a device in our right hand, similar to a 10 speed bicycle brake handle, that we would manipulate to make the mouth move.

  • Umm why would they do this as people in giant costumes and not puppets?...

  • muppetvision 3d is way better

  • I actually performed as Animal and Fozzie (not at the same time) in this show. What a great time it was. So much fun. Jim Henson passed away about halfway through our rehearsals to open this show, shortly after visiting our rehearsals to give his personal notes to us. This show was to be the introduction of the Muppets to a Disney park, paving the way for future projects. Those future projects never cam to fruition as a result of Jim's death.

  • That's awful! Not you performing as Animal and Fozzie (THAT is awesome), but that Jim Henson died halfway through the creative process, leaving so many projects unfullfilled. But, hopefully, the unfinished projects are still somewhere in the "Great Big Disney Vault of Incomplete Ideas". And maybe someday the Muppets will be brought back to the public for a better purpose than promoting the Disney Channel Original Movie Stars.

  • How did the puppets operate? I.e. the mouths. I love puppetry and special effects so I am very curious. Jim Henson was my hero and it is my dream to one day work for the company.

  • The Muppets would be very disappointed by this show.

  • the one thing jim stressed was that the muppets mouth movements were in sync with the vocals, this show is a disappointment for the muppets

  • Yeah, he would NOT be happy. I'd rather have the Muppets rework this special as well.

  • wow.... i think prefer kermit without seeing feet

  • wow

  • I didn't realise there was a previous show to Muppetvision 3D. We were there in February 1990 - don't know if this show was operational then.

  • they replaced it with a 3D show

  • what ride replaced this?

  • when did they stop doin this and why?

  • Kind of creepy but adorable

  • Wow im totally amazed how much work Jim got done with Disney before he passed away

  • the audience don't sound that convinced by it

  • This show is AWESOME. Ha!!!

  • I loved this show. The Monorail was a great inside joke for the Cast>

  • This is good. If only we had video of "The Muppet Show On Tour".

  • I love Kermit's moonwalk.

  • very nice

  • i would love to see this live!

  • damn memories good tomes it was great being a kid in the 90's

  • Got that right.

  • They do this all the time with the Sesame Street Muppets at Sesame Place and Sesame Street Live. In fact,it's all the same technology too with how the mouths move on the Muppet costumes.

  • It's just not the same without the actual muppets.

    (sigh)

  • Agreed.

  • I'd love to be a part of this show...

  • @kbd36344 AND to have seen Jim Henson before his death!

  • I always thought that it was at Muppets 3D.

But still good and they need to use the real muppets like from the 3D movie of the muppets

  • Yeah mass produced muppets was so 1990s

  • I remember seeing this when I was five years old!

  • Oh funny I was Zoot & Floyd from the Electric Mayhem Band in this show in the opening cast! I did the show 4over a year & had a huge forearm from using the hand cable that made the mouth move I met Jim Henson a week before he passed away when he came 2 our rehearsal It played at MGM Studios. Later there was the Muppets 3D show on the other side of the park. We used 2 lay out on the roof of the theater n between shows..good times!

  • @sayvjo You were lucky to be in the show AND to have met the genius behind the Muppets, Seasme Street, Bear In the Big Blue House, and the Pajanimals.

  • @sayvjo Do you ever remember a little girl sitting in the front row who got up shortly after you guys came on, running out of the theater screaming?

If so, Hi and sorry if I made you feel bad. TT

  • Live puppets are fun, but personally I think they should have used the real muppets, like they did for the Grand Opening of Muppet Vision 3D.

  • All the speech was pre-recorded? That would be tough is something happened, like a trip...

  • I was a Technician at MGM working on this show and Mermaid. My future wife was Gonzo and Beanbunny..she used to stand on my feet and hook my shoulder with her Gonzo beak..so I'd miss my cue.LOL!

  • If there are any of the characters that worked this show out there..reply.

  • The Muppets won't let me grow up...

  • Wow, I remember this show! Thank you for posting this. I had been looking for this!

  • OMG...

    I saw this...

and I have this on a home movie...

    I LOVE IT...

Thank you for posting it!!! :D

  • This is basically a companion piece to "The Muppets at Walt Disney World."

  • Ugh, I HATE it when people dress up like the Muppets rather than actually USING muppet puppets. Sort of ruins the whole effect.

  • It's weird, but it works well. for a stage show like this, how else could they do it?!

  • Uh, Couldn't they just have the REAl Muppets at the stage performance, you know with the puppeteers? It probably would be hard though, but since Disney has access to the puppets, I think It would be better.

  • I wish they did this again. It looks cool! =-)

  • it's so weird watching them...walk around. o-o;

  • to vidman1976, this show was made to tide guests until the opening of Muppet Vision 3-D

  • I Also love how a portion of the Looney Tunes Theme made it into the "Make 'em Laugh number" at roughly 5:26

  • I believe that the song is in public domain. So Disney can use it no problem. It's been stated it's one of the three songs WB can use without paying money.

  • Kermit and Mickey interacting is the greatest thing ever. Is That Jim or Steve Whitmire voicing Kermit?

  • That's Jim as Kermit.

  • It's Jim

  • This took place from 1990-1991 where the Voyage of the Little Mermaid is now.

  • omg this is funny kermit is huge !!!! funny

  • I guess this is what they had before the Muppet Vision 3D show came out.

  • i can see why they got rid of it...

  • hey dawsbrother did you see little mermaid show ?

  • I'm Sorry, my mistake it only stops at beginning on my laptop. I like the video!

  • The clip is only showing the begging. What's the problem?

  • Seems like the whole show, what's missing?

  • its not the 3d one

  • where was this show located in mgm? I vaguely remember it from when I was really young but have no idea where it was.

  • I've only been to WDW in 2002, but from my understanding (don't take my word on it) it's where the current Little Mermaid show is.

  • It's to bad they cancel this show in mgm=(

  • Very kewl! Thank you so much for posting this classic Disney theme park show!

  • I LOVE THIS SOOO MUCh

  • Miss Piggy steals the show!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DIGGING IT OUT OF MY BRAIN!!! This was one of my favorite shows when I was young. I don't remember much, so thanks for bringing it back! I loved it.
