there's a law about to be passed in the US that the commercials can't be louder than the program. My Uncles came over from England and they were like "OMG THERE SO MANY EFFING ADVERTISEMENTS!"........I get it.....

Yes, we still have louder than normal commercials here in the US. I have countered that, by watching content online. All networks have a webpage, and shows can be seen usually 1 day after they are broadcast. That is the legal way...

You ought to load your refrigerator, with healthy foods only. Also, only have small meals. For a while you will have to make a conscious choice, but soon eating well will be natural.

Girl I love your accent. :) Btw about Loudness: It's connected to Loudness War problem. Most problematic in music. Producers can't get enough of maximizers ... but aslo in TV. Also when you watch show released few years ago, loudness is lower too. Neverending story actually. People just vant everything BIGGER all the time.... :/

The commercials are loud becous the producers that mixes the sound are normalizing the volume so that the quiet parts are as loud as the looud parts of the commercial. Plus they master the sound as loud as possible, like the Newest Metallica album. And it has becom a competition now adays, everyone wants to be the loudest. Its often referd to as THE LOUDNESS WAR. :D Like the new skits Btw :D:D

@BrassknuckleRide theres a law in the US called "Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act(CALM Act)". there is something smiliar here in germany, but just on the state channels. the thing that makes commercials that loud isnt the normalizing, but they compress it to death. im studying music/sound-design and all my docents, who are producers/audio engineers, are against the loudness war, so theres still hope, until then i will listen to the old metallica vinyls :D

We were experiencing the same problems with commercials here in Canada. But we write into the CRTC and complain about it. So now we have no more problems with loud commercials.
