@yourlyrics13 Interesting idea, but Vaseline (petroleum jelly) would just moisturize the lids and lashes, not cause hair growth. For improved eyelash growth, you need Latisse/bimatoprost or eyelash transplantation. --Dr. B.
Please answer I'm a boy and a while a ago I had a accident with my eyelashes, right now they are uneven and don't look normal, is it possible to get surgery to my eyelashes just to make me have normal eyelashes again, of course I don't want thick long eyelashes cause Im a boy but I want normal eyelashes like I had before my accident I had with my eyelashes, is that possible, right now my eyelashes feel very annoying (they also got cut) and look terrible I just want normal eyelashes. please reply
@ColdPickles22 Your comment is not entirely accurate... it depends on how curly/kinky your hair is. Some curl is actually a good thing when doing an eyelash transplant. Very coarse, straight eyelash hair is actually more difficult to manage because it's difficult to curl. --Dr. Bauman
@adreanmarie Actually, the eyelash transplant procedure is quite comfortable for patients. The lids are numb from anesthetic cream. Most patients just chill-out, relax or nap during the procedure. The lids are sore for a few hours afterwards, that's it.
i don't like the transplant thinggy.. very superficial. No use having the transplant if u need to get it trimmed. I like to know more bout that revitalash. Does it have side effects? Is it dangerous to the eye? How about for those who don't know hw to apply eyeliner, how will you explain how to apply it? Furthermore, does the transplanted lashes adapt and grow much slower as you trim it or the opposite?
ok.. i'll see if it's available in my country.. or better yet ..do u know if it's available in other countries? if so, is it available in the philippines? :))
The Latisse (bimatoprost) is the FDA-approved medication for eyelash growth. 69% of patients see results in 12 wks, 78% of patients see results in 16 wks. The latisse works on the lashes you have. If you have lash loss or damage from eyelash extensions, you'll need an eyelash transplant to restore eyelashes to the lid. We have prescribed Latisse daily to our patients with excellent success.
Over the years there have been numerous products 'claiming' to grow eyelashes. Stick with the fda-approved treatment, Latisse, for best results. If the other product contains bimatoprost (the active ingredient in Latisse) eventually they will get 'in trouble' with the FDA.
Transplanted eyelashes are living and growing. The transplanted lashes do grow long, so you will need to trim them routinely. Any patient who is considering an eyelash transplant needs to understand the need for maintenance of the lashes. Trimming is not difficult, but is required. During the implantation, the lashes are angled appropriately and WILL NOT 'grow towards your eye'
So, i've heard stories that if you dont trim the transplanted hair into your lashes that you get...They'll get longer and sometimes grow towards your eye, if not trimmed, bad news for your eyes obviously...And this is the thing, my gland problems have made me lose eyelash and eyebrow hair, if only they found away to actually put in other eye lashes that look like yours, real or fake Instead of the method they're currently using
Is it really that serious? i can understand maybe someone who is lacking eyelashes? As for those who are not i would be afraid the eyelashes would grow to my lips and then someone might need a curling iron to curl them. (just joking) LIGHTEN UP!
Are you talking about Latisse?....I don't think it grows 'missing or more' eye lashes, it just makes your eye lashes Longer, thicker and darker. and to achieve that you have to keep using the product every day...Now if theres actual eye lash growth medication i'm down, since my thyroid condition cause some of lashes to fall out and so on
Latisse helps you grow your existing lashes better. Eyelash transplant is used to increase the density of lashes by implanting new follicles permanently into the eyelid.
So latisse would be useless for me,and as for eye lash transplant, the downside to that is that they either take hair from your head which actually grows longer on your eye lashes resulting in having to trim, or with guys they ususally take hair from the eyebrows(which is far better). I wish there was another way to 'regrow' lost lashes.
Latisse helps eyelash follicles stay in their growth phase longer. This would probably help with your premature shedding. Also, FYI, eyebrow hair is typically too short to implant and orient the curl properly.
Is it true that If you apply Vaseline(petroleum jelly) to the eyelashes and lid every morning and night your eye lashes grow?

Latisse is expensive, but it really works! Works on eyebrows too. So worth it to have lashes and brows that are as long as when I was in high school.

Its not for black people because it'll grow in curly.

Latisse is an excellent product. I've used it for about 7 months and I no longer have to wear mascara.

$3000.00 per eye seems a lot compared to scalp transplants. It'd be funny to see those hairs grown long.
