If he had just let it continue, as most bands would have, would Marky have gotten sober, then helped Joey to get sober later ? 4-What happened with Linda wasn't right. 5-He always said exactly what he felt, refreshing in these P.C./deny and whitewash everything times.

That's how much they both believed in the band, they hated each other but knew neither of them could be replaced. They never stopped believing they were the greatest rock and roll band in the world, and they were right.
I always get the impression that Johnny is torn between two emotions here. He doesn't feel quite comfortable when answering questions that relate to these emotions. He wasn't superficial, more of a complex human being than he wanted to be. I feel sorry for him in the end, for not allowing himself to be what he subconsciencally was. Psychology 101 paying off...

Dee Dee was known for writing fiction in his books. If you wanna know how it really was get Monte's book "On The Road With The Ramones". Worth every penny.
I wrote for The Ramones fan club in the '80's , was a good friend of Joey's and lived with Monte.

It really is the biggest shame that Joey, Johnny, and Dee Dee all had to die so soon. I truly belive that if they were still alive and Joey and Johnny were free of cancer. They would have put out atleast 5 more albums and possibly, very slim chance Joey and Johnny would on good terms again, maybe. It is realy sad to think about the way they fell apart after they broke up. R.I.P Joey, Johnny, and Dee Dee.

I always get the impression that Johnny is torn between two emotions here. He doesn't feel quite comfortable when answering questions that relate to these emotions. He wasn't superficial, more of a complex human being than he wanted to be. I feel sorry for him in the end, for not allowing himself to be what he subconsciencally was. Psychology 101 paying off...

i know how joey felt, since when i fell in love badly one time, the doctors discovered later on i had ocd cause i would get destressed and anxious over small things, and believe me most people with it won't admit they have it but i've had a horrible life with it for a while now. but it's the past now. R.I.P Joey,DeeDee,Johnny.
