I love these shoes. Super light weight. I have been trail running in them for four years. My feet and calves are much stronger, Balance is better. No knee problems. Great product for me. Tried five fingers but the seams unraveled after 3 runs on my big toe (both feet). Not bashing them but I don't think the were a good fit for my foot shape. The free has been a great shoe. Wish they had a little bigger toe box as I have wide feet.
@kayvansylvan yes, barefoot is best, but barefoot doesn't save you from the cuts, bruises, blisters and dirt that you can pick up in a short run down the street. Shoes partition you from that pain.
It's not the shoe's fault if you damage you knee. It's the body which you bring to the shoes. These shoes and the five fingers are great and WILL make you stronger, if you body is set up properly for that. Check your body position and then get yourself moving!
Question: How do we continue to sell product in the face of mounting evidence that our products may have been counterproductive?
A: Admit as much (though not directly or explicitly) and then design a shoe we can promote as providing all the benefits of a naked foot one can get without discarding our shoe altogether!!
Brilliant!!! They will line up like sheep with credit cards in hand!!!
The best "Natural Motion Design" is your own bare foot, people!
If you really need to, get a pair of Vibram Five Fingers; they will last forever.
Also, the running form that is shown here (the person running on the treadmill) will trash your knees over the long run. Learn about POSE running or Chi Running instead of wasting money on running shoes!
really comfortable shoes!!

actually, ive owned a pair of fivefingers for a year and they are disintegrating. i run in them every day though.
also the tarahumara have prolly the best running gait, pose, posture etc etc. rather than chi or pose.
caledfwlch 2 years ago
Can you describe their posture and gait? Thanks!
kayvansylvan 2 years ago
they run with their backs straight. no leaning into their run or slouching or hunching. and they run witht their toes pointing down, not up.
caledfwlch 2 years ago
wait..r u saying the shoes would in time damage your knees?
kcbros151 2 years ago
