Being an ex-Metallica fan and a now-Pink Floyd fan (don't ask me how that happened, still trying to figure out) my #1 is ofcourse comfortably numb. Maybe stairway to heaven tops it, but that's up to you guys to decide.

Metallica on this list... Yeah, possibly songs like Fade to black (?) but then again most songs here are rock, so metallica wouldn't really stick to this. Note that ozzy only got here for a ballad (and a damn renowned one) and still didn't make the top 10. Jimi Hendrix is awesome

What stumps me is that whenever Metallica even gets on these lists, it's always 'One' that gets on here. It's a good solo, no doubt, but to be honest it's probably 'The Shortest Straw' or 'To Live is To Die' (The chill one at about 5:52) which is the most musically accomplished.
