@ulli1235 I'd say yes, it's confusing, because they overcharge you, then dsicount you on the next bill,but they finally got it correct where I'm paying $60 total for internet, home phone and Direct Tv each month and I even got the NFL Sunday tickert free for 6 months. i also heard from my brother in law that Dish was a ripoff for what you get.
This commercial is nothing short of misleading advertising. You do not pay for celebrity endorsements with DirecTV. The reason why DTV is more is because with Dish you can not get basic channels unless you get their America's Everything package. Ripoff.
I have both. Dish Network is about $10 less per month for about the same channels. DTV only has around 78 HD channels in my area, while Dish has 82. It will be $20 cheaper per month starting at the end of June, when Dish Network is giving free HD channels to customers who pay with credit card auto pay. I keep the DTV because of the fottball channels package, so I can see more college teams complete games.

What they're saying here is that DirecTV is paying celebrities millions to show up in their ads to convince you that their service, technology, and HD is superior, when DISH Network does all of that better. This is one reason why DirecTV got an "F" rating from the BBB. You do not need the America's "Everything" Pak to get basic channels, but DISH Network strips them out so you aren't forced to pay for those you don't watch.
Just go with whichever has a better promotion at the time, they're both comparable in the service they provide.
