  • Once again, the lady below is right on! (She's my sister) Never could listen to this without squalling like a baby, and still do! It's my favorite!!!

  • I grew up listening to Delia Bell and her sisters, one of whom is my Aunt Georgie, and my Uncle John on fiddle, all playing and singing when our family would get together. It puts a lump in my throat to hear her sing with EmmyLou, how pure and beautiful their voices. She also recorded an album with John Anderson. These folks are absolute American treasures.

  • This is the way this song is supposed to be sung...Hauntingly innocent...

  • De Argentina... Esta musica es hermosa

  • awesome

  • A beautiful rendition of one of the best melodies EVER.

  • The beauty of their singing this song gives me goosebumps - That is what music shoud do!

  • I want to correct my spelling of Delia's name in my previous post. She has a very nice voice and has hopefully other music available. Thanks again. - Paula

  • This has to be one of greatest songs ever written. What a classic. It's wonderful whether it's sung or just done as an instrumental. Thank you Loretta for this link. I love Della's singing - and Emmylou's too of course. The band is terrific. I have put this one on my Favorites, too. Thanks ernst for posting this. - Paula

  • Anything with Emmylou in it is good!

  • Love this great version, their voices are so good together.

  • Just love this version , been looking for it a long time ...Thanks for posting it.

  • best version I've heard---thanks!

  • Here is Emmylou sing what I think she dose best, traditional mountain music, along with one of the greatest bluegrass singers ,Ms. Delia Bell.

  • I love this song, and the two sing it beautifully.

    Hugs from Canada :)

  • Does anyone know where the sound was recorded? Is it available on CD somewhere?

  • 1983 LP LONE PILGRIM, produced by Emmylou, featuring Delia on lead vocals; released in 2006 on CD, same title.

  • Thanks for the reply. Will look for it.

  • I'm sure Mother Maybelle is smiling. Great Job.
