As a new grad student who is finally making a decent amount of money (not rich but enough for rent, food, recreation, etc.) via scholarships, TA'ing and being a research assistant, I am looking forward to buying a digital piano for my apartment. I no it sounds dumb but the "Privia" logo on the keyboard annoys me. The font 2 me seems cheesy and I think it would annoy me looking at it. when playing. Yeah I know dumb comment lol

i'm just about dying to get a piano and when my mom said i could get one this year i started crying lol. i can't really explain it but being able to play such amazing music is a dream. i just can't wait to get this :)
@mxh91 you're right, here. I bought the PX-130 based on this video and while I've been happy with it for its price, it doesn't sound as good as in this video. Still, for around 500 bucks, it's not a bad buy for someone who's starting to get serious about piano. (I started on a Casio LK-40 ^o^)
I'm no expert but I think that the 120 has old sound 'tone' samples. The 130 has new, more realistic tones. The older Casio boards have lousy reviews on the realism of the digital tones; that was one of the major knocks on Casio keyboards.
Hey please reply asap! Now when i hit the black key on my px130, the sound cut short even when i press the pedal. i tried to figure why it was doing that and so i realize that it's because the weight on the key made me press it...well...twice. The black key pushes down and bounces back up then goes kidna half way down cutting the note....
Hey guys. Around 0:45 to 1:15 he plays 3 snippets, and I was wondering if they were improvs or actual songs? If they are actual songs, does anyone know what they are called? They sound very nice.
@mxh91 Because if you look in the video, you see a cable coming from the left side of the PX-130. That is where the headphones jack is, so he probably connected an amp or some kind of speaker to it to make it louder. Also, he could have used a different program to record the sound so it isn't hindered by the recording of the video, and then sync'd the sound with the video so the sound quality remains. The amp is more likely though since you can see the cable haha.
@mxh91 No processing was done. We used the headphone output of the PX-130 and recorded it to a computer using a TC Electronic Konnekt 24D audio interface. There is no fraud.
@mxh91 why? you can use either a microphone or a USB/XLR/MIDI/line out-line in cable to record a keyboard and i don't see anything wrong with the 1st option! either way, i don't know what that guy in the video used and i have no idea what mxh91 used, but it's obviously not the same thing! otherwise, it would sound the same! so the dude does not really have a reason for thinking this ad is tricked, since it worked for so many other people! the one he bought is probably defective or something.....

I'm so happy with mine! Got the 130 a few days ago and can't wait to be able to play as well as this guy! Was gonna get the Korg 170 but this does so much more!
I find myself probably needing a portable piano once again. I am a Yamaha aficionado, and my Clavinova vids. are used in different places as demos. I have always been impressed by Casio technology but NOT by keyboard actions. As an example the Casio WK series keyboard is brilliant, but those keys rattle and clatter as you play. How does the keyboard action of this piano stand up to Yamaha? The price and weight seem very attractive :)
@Virtuon777 No post-processing was done. Actually because our video camera only had inputs for the wireless mic I was using - we had to record the piano separately to a computer. A TC Electronic Konnekt 24D was used. Later we synced the audio that we recorded with the video.
Hi everyone, I just bought this piano. I have a little problem - when black keys are pressed not perfectly straight (but a bit from side to side) they make some kind of clatching\chattering sound, it's annoying. Is it normal (for example because of new raw springs under the keys) or a Defect? please... unless I can return it to the shop
I picked up a PX130 today. I know the PX730 has a deeper sound because of it's bigger speakers. Can I attach external speakers to my PX130 to make the sound also deeper/stronger?
One thing I've started noticing in product demos(now that I've done some similar types of videos) is how exhausted everyone seems to be in their delivery after dozens of takes, how they have to work so hard to control their facial expressions and movements, etc. This guy looks like he can't wait to wrap it up.
k i think this costs just a little too much beacuase im not that old, and start to learn will the yamaha p95 satisfy or does someone has some other sugestions? .... maybe a bit weird to ask about a yamaha at someone who's promoting the casio... :P but maybe a vieuwer of the movie may anwser ( or maybe something like the casiocdp100)

@AwesomeMan2696 You can connect a PX-130 to a sound system. It has an 1/8th inch stereo headphone jack like an iPod or MP3 player. The next model in the series, the PX-330 has 1/4" audio outputs which may be more convenient to connect to a sound system.

I LOVE THIS PIANO!!! I just bought one 2 days ago & it is UNBELIEVABLE!! I am a "piano-snob" who would never play anything but a piano...but I played this in the store & loved it!! I had to go back & buy it to use temporarily while replacing my old piano. It's a full keyboard with 88 keys the same size as a grand & is nothing like a keyboard with smaller keys. I'm used to ivory keys...but resin? ones are quite nice. It's very simple. Love the strings, organ, harpsichord, etc. I am soooo happy!!!
To millyvlogs - I don't own this keyboard but it sounds like you have the duet mode switched on (which is explained at around the 3min mark on the video)

@millyvlogs to transpose hold the function button press the last F on the left side to go down a half step and F# to go up hope it helps to fix the temperment issue pressing the second to last C and C# on the left side at the same time while holding the function buttion should help fix it.

I find myself probably needing a portable piano once again. I am a Yamaha aficionado, and my Clavinova vids. are used in different places as demos. I have always been impressed by Casio technology but NOT by keyboard actions. As an example the Casio WK series keyboard is brilliant, but those keys rattle and clatter as you play. How does the keyboard action of this piano stand up to Yamaha? The price and weight seem very attractive :)

@Virtuon777 No post-processing was done. Actually because our video camera only had inputs for the wireless mic I was using - we had to record the piano separately to a computer. A TC Electronic Konnekt 24D was used. Later we synced the audio that we recorded with the video.

Hi everyone, I just bought this piano. I have a little problem - when black keys are pressed not perfectly straight (but a bit from side to side) they make some kind of clatching\chattering sound, it's annoying. Is it normal (for example because of new raw springs under the keys) or a Defect? please... unless I can return it to the shop

One thing I've started noticing in product demos(now that I've done some similar types of videos) is how exhausted everyone seems to be in their delivery after dozens of takes, how they have to work so hard to control their facial expressions and movements, etc. This guy looks like he can't wait to wrap it up.

@AwesomeMan2696 You can connect a PX-130 to a sound system. It has an 1/8th inch stereo headphone jack like an iPod or MP3 player. The next model in the series, the PX-330 has 1/4" audio outputs which may be more convenient to connect to a sound system.

I LOVE THIS PIANO!!! I just bought one 2 days ago & it is UNBELIEVABLE!! I am a "piano-snob" who would never play anything but a piano...but I played this in the store & loved it!! I had to go back & buy it to use temporarily while replacing my old piano. It's a full keyboard with 88 keys the same size as a grand & is nothing like a keyboard with smaller keys. I'm used to ivory keys...but resin? ones are quite nice. It's very simple. Love the strings, organ, harpsichord, etc. I am soooo happy!!!

@millyvlogs to transpose hold the function button press the last F on the left side to go down a half step and F# to go up hope it helps to fix the temperment issue pressing the second to last C and C# on the left side at the same time while holding the function buttion should help fix it.
