Great videos, it really shows the access benefit over the more common scissors lift which blocks the underside of the car for exhaust or driveline work. The lift height isn't as much but it's good enough - sure beats using ramps, jackstands, and a crawler.
Could you add a video showing how much access you have underneath?
Pretty much stock. It only has 34,000 miles on it! I replaced the intake with an OE 4 Barrel w an edelbrock carb. I also converted the ignition to electronic.
Runs so smooth. It vever ran right with the 2 barrel carb for some reason.
Yeah I have a 2bbl and its always giving me problems, I just a bought a OE 4bbl 394 intake from a 63 (which took me for ever to find) What Cfm is your edelbrock I don't know which one would be better the 650 or the 600? Did you need an adapter?
The linkage on the Holley would not work. You have to be real carefull with the
Downshift Rod. I used a battery hold down rod and tapped the ends and used the connections off of the 2 barrel. I got it as close as I could get too the original and it will shift good, I found out afterwards (10 Years later!) on forums that its not a typical TV rod, it actually controls the clutch's too. Allot of people had trouble converting them. I must have just got lucky.
@mondi73 I've had nothing but trouble with the Rochester 2GC in my '61 D-88!! I'm sure that 50 years hasn't been a big help but it always seems to be something with that carb! Float sank. Rebuilt with the float repaired. It ran like a new car.... for a week. Then the float sank again. Got a new float and had it rebuilt again. It runs pretty well when it's warm but it can be kind of a bear to start after sitting for anything more than a week. I have to prime it to start it. Maybe a new rebuilder?

No adapter. Can't remember the CFM but it was def in the 600-650 range.
You can't use an original 4bbl Air filter assy either. Rochester carbs have a smaller
dia. I use a K&N Filter assy.

Hey Thanks I'll need to post a video when I am done. I just need to get the intake dipped in acid to clean it up.
