  • This turkey apparently took about 2.5 hours. The oven clock read 4:26 when she put it in and 7:07 when she showed it to us again.

I believe she had to have removed the foil and roasted about 30 more min. to get the beautiful color.

Alternatively, I roast my turkey at 500F. My 14# bird at Christmas took 90 minutes. I covered it with foil for the first 60 minutes and uncovered it for the remaining 30 minutes. Perfectly colored, crispy skin and juicy. Once you do it this way, it's hard to go back

  • I would love to have an oven like that. But thanks for the tips for a turkey.

I always was taught to put a little sprinkle of pepper on with the salt, because pepper brings out flavor.

  • I own the same oven as you,

Please explain how your turkey got golden brown when you had it tented/covered in tin foli?

You never said you un-covered the turkey, which is why I ask how did you get your covered turkey golden brown?

  • can any one tell me where the guts and gizzarts are some companies do not package the neck and the gizzards. any one know where to get it out of the turkey before washing and drying the turkey

  • Thanks.
