  • Just want to say your really beautiful! :D and thank you for the instructions they were very helpful I get to dye my hair ur color soon ^_^

  • @AlucardAndxI I love seeing people getting about with blue hair :D ... I went red in August 2010, though, and came to realize something - even if I was wearing something totally boring, like office clothing, every person I passed would stare at my blue hair. Now, with red hair, I can be wearing the craziest outfits and no one even bats an eyelash. It's nuts. It's all just hair dye

  • where do u get the wig clip extension thingy? >.<

  • @allicat1968 A lot of people say you can get them at Asian supermarkets, but I always have trouble finding them there. If you don't mind buying online I'd suggest trying etsy - I used ebay and out of a bag of 100 clips, about 3 worked. My only success has been buying them from hair and beauty stores - Hairhouse Warehouse, Priceline, Price Attack.

  • i like and dislike this :D :()

  • @designshdlandy Haha. Likewise. I've made about 30 pairs of clip-in cat ears, and the pair from this video is the pair I like the least. I think spandex wasn't a good choice of fabric for the inner ear - it warps the shape of them.

  • Where did you get the materials?

  • @AshlieXJustin I got the fur from my local fabric store (Spotlight) and the inner fabric was from a sewing class I did years ago. Most towns have at least one fabric store but if there are none nearby, you could scout op shops for things made of nice fabrics, and then cut them up and use that.

  • me encnataron jajaj sorry in english ajajajaj

  • This is seriously useful. Thank you so much 8D

    Offtopic: You look pretty :3

  • GREAT VIDEO!!

  • omg.. Gothic neko.. kawaiii *q* Im inlove now... xD

Amasing tutorial... i will make my pair *p*

  • i have a question, i have a black fur for the ear, and a purple fabric for the inner part, but the purple fabric isnt good for sewing casue it frays and eventually falls out. would it be ok if i hot glued it? (i have tried hot gluing this fabric before, and it stayed) i just found this purple stuff in my closet and decided to reuse it

  • @pearlu1234 That's a great idea for fabric that frays easily! For a more polished look you could fold the edges of the purple fabric down before you glue it, but if you don't, the slight fraying at the edges could look just as cool. Good luck :D

  • @pearlu1234 thanks!

  • cool thanks! and luv ur hair!

  • Hey, why'd you sew the second seam 1.5 cm from the bottom, and cut off 1cm?

  • @transientfragility I find it easier to do that than to make the ear shorter and sew a lot closer to the bottom, especially if the fur is really thick. However, when I only have a small amount of fur, I usually do make the ear shorter and just sew closer to the bottom. You can do it, it's just a bit trickier.

  • ur so awesum!!!!!

  • instead of wig clips could i use bobby pins? i dont think dad or mom wants to buy two sets of fabric and wig clips :l so could i use bobby pins?

liked and favorited btw ^^ nice job, very unique :3

  • @4i4l4u4v4c4p4 The only reason I use wig clips is because they're designed to stay in hair, even when a fair amount of pressure is applied, so they're very sturdy. All kinds of hair clips should be pretty easy to attach though - bobby pins, alligator clips, barettes. Whichever kind you prefer should be fine.

  • @DejaMort ok, thank you ^^

  • @4i4l4u4v4c4p4 lol it took you ages to reply o_O

  • heh..the song and sewing quite new to me :) they blend nicely

  • what kinda clip was that?? o.o

  • @stainedglass212 They're usually called wig clips, but they're sometimes referred to as extension clips as well. You can find them on ebay.com and etsy.com, and some walk-in stores stock them as well.

  • Where do people faux fur I haven't been found a place to buy them in Dallas someone help ^°^

  • Do you have a tutorial on making neko ears on a headband?

  • @cookiecat12 I do. It's called "how to make neko ears" and it's the oldest video on my channel. If you can't be bothered watching it [I didn't make it very well] it's done pretty much the same as the new design. You cut two of the back fabric, two of the front, face right sides together and sew up the sides to the point on either side of both ears. For the headband, you can then put stuffing inside the ears if you want, position them, and handsew them around the headband. Hope this helps.

  • i like your hair :j

  • i made these and they are better than any othger ones i made preveusly

  • niiice, im going to a friends sleep over in june and the theme is a twisted alice in wonderland (i think its based on the books "the looking glass wars") and im going as a doormouse, im totally gonna use this design for the ears (only i'll make them round)

  • I've made them last year, and now im making them for my friends :P

  • what is the name of this fabric?

  • @karenmartins17 the fluffy bit is faux fur, sometimes called "teddy bear fur", and the inner piece is some kind of lycra... but you can use pretty much anything you have lying around. denim, satin and velvet all work nicely as well.

  • what song is this???

  • @erwin9763 It's "No Rabbit in the Hat", by Wednesday 13

  • I like your hair. It's so pretty. And nice tutorial too~! ^.^

  • that was so helpful! thank youu.

i'm making cat ears for my halloween costume.

btw i love the color of your hair :)

  • You are pretty awesome I think

  • Umm... I haz a question...

How long did that take you? :3

  • @MrLongTaco because I've had a lot of practice I can make a set and sew on the clips in about 10 minutes, but when I first started it was more like 20-25.

  • @DejaMort How can you cut only through the backing? What backing?

  • @tweety9102 If you look closely at a piece of faux fur fabric, you'll notice that it isn't just a hunk of fur strands stuck together at the ends. It's more like a piece of fabric, with each strand of fur attached separately. Cutting through the backing alone isn't really important, it just means you'll have less hunks of fur floating around in the air.

  • @DejaMort Oh! I hate when I loose important fur due to cutting . . TT__TT

  • They look so good~

  • your sooper dooper gorgeous,

    very brutal and lovely <33333333

    awesome P:

i wanna color my fringe this color but i cant :'DD

  • Love this! This a better design than other videos I've seen.

    Thank you~

  • lol, that music. I turned my volume on as low as it can go and the video but i still got complaints from parents saying it was too loud.

Now...do you wear the ears out? or is it for Halloween or something?

  • @beautifullrn

haha maybe your parents have some kind of curse-word radar that makes the music sound louder than it really is, so they can detect the words easier.

usually when i see other people wearing the ears, it's for some costume-related thing, but i just wear them like other people wear headbands or hair clips.

  • @DejaMort gotcha...thanks, that an interesting trend. very different.

  • i love this i made mine with black and pink cause i have black hair and a tail meow! lol

  • @viper200691

if you don't like it, you don't have to watch it, and you certainly don't have to be rude about it.

  • @viper200691 yes im sure she likes men too!

  • do the clips fall easily? i usually use head bands...

  • @imalittlewonder

if you use wig/extension clips, they're the same thing hairdressers use for clip-in extensions. I've worn the clip-in ears in the middle of moshes and they haven't come out. They probably work best on slightly dirty hair.

  • like the song :) can u make one on how to make a neko hat

  • @xj91234 You could prolly use the fur from them if you can't find a way to hollow out the ears.

  • love ur hair :D great ears ^^
