Of course it's fake....you can actually see the airbag is already deployed before the alarm goes off. At the 00.12 mark it magically appears, deflated, in the driver's lap and then inflates at the right moment. Very well done though.

@BuildATurtleFence I know how the basic technology of an airbag works though. It has sensors in the front and rear of the car which sense sudden impact and sets the airbags off. Hitting the dashboard WILL NOT set it off. Also airbags open a lot faster than the one in this video. They also deflate very quickly to avoid suffocation and allow easy escape in the event of a crash. They don't stay inflated like this one.

@dmh79 It might have been a different model or make of car from what you have! There ARE different car companies you know! Not EVERY car is built the exact same way. This may have been a very old car built when the alarms and airbag systems were different!

@angryboy2k9 No, they all work on the same basic technology. They detect sudden abrupt impact in sensors on the front and back of the car. Even if the sensors could pick him up hitting the dashboard, he would have to hit it with the weight, speed and force of a car going at least 20mph.

And, as I've said before, airbags open much, much faster than the one on this video. You literally cannot see them inflate because they do it so quickly. They also deflate immediately to avoid suffocation.

Also this specific camera may have been installed with sound-recording equipment for a certain purpose, or maybe ALL cameras produced by that camera's manufacturer come with installed sound-recording equipment.

Just because what YOU have seen doesn't include these thigns doesn't mean that other designs don't have them.
