  • Watch your expiration dates on all your food. You buy to much you are just wasting your money..

  • Nice vid. I like the fact that he is honest about things he didn't know. Most men will just say they know it when they really don't.

  • waiting for the apocalypse ?

  • nutcase by weapons

    to get food....

  • that ammo is very corrosive just so you know its vietnam era surp..good stuff but do a gooood corrosve cleaning afterwards

  • 1) Sugar don't spoil, honey on the other hand, will turn hard over time. 2) The way you store your food strikes me as rather bad, it's hard to tell from the video, but there's no way you can just store flour in the original bags. It need to be some material simlar to mylar and they need o2 packs. There's a lot of small things, but I guess this is over 9 months ago, and we all learn, and do things how we want :)

  • i think that rice if it hulled has a short shelf life . also i think suger will last forever if it is kept dry . personally i would get more ammo . it can be traded or possibly used ,who can say the future .

all that said , you have done ten times what iv done . good video !

  • Never had a dad period, i learned all my outdoors methods and know how from my Older brothers and the ambition to learn the skills for the wild life. Now im a young Man skilled in the know how to servive without todays technology and a legal Gun owner of several kinds. Hunting and protection....

  • how much money should be converted to silver/precious metals?

  • the only thing i can add is that this man says you should not need to prepare more than 100 bullets.. i would have a case of bullets (about 400 rounds usually for automatics).. you can never have enough protection come civil unrest.) - think of the zombie movies.

  • being in the emergency services for many years, I can tell you most people are not strong willed, or rational when they're facing a personal disaster.... everyones level of being able to "keep it together" is different..one size fits all is pure BS.... these videos are very helpful..... these folks are prepared, not crazy.. just look at what goes on when bad weather is predicted.. think of having no power..now what... without electricity you have NOTHING ! be prepared !

  • some more common sense about weapons..laws in every state are different. Used to be no guns of any kind were registered..why do we have to register guns? again, common sense, so the gov. knows what you have..why else? think about it. buy your long guns from friends or flea markets, if the weapon was "never" registered, then no one knows it exists..very important stuff! Pistols have to be registered in most states, so you're screwed there unless you have resources to get them unregistered...

  • I'm not former military, or police.. I was a fire fighter, and EMT for 17 years..you got to remember that that emergengy workers will probably be lookin out for themeselves, and their families..I know I would.. Sink or swin time folks! I only keep a few guns around..a couple pistols two rifles and a couple shot guns..not an arsenal, just practicality...If you're reading this, then you have access to a computer. LEARN! knowledge IS power! you have NO excuse other that pure laziness.good luck !

  • hunting, fishing,gardening...you got to kill it, before you can grill it ! better to know now, than when you're starving..stock up on "heirloom" seeds..most store bought seeds WILL NOT reproduce the next season fron their 2nd generation seeds... learn how to can food, and dry food.these are the safest way to store things. It's very easy, and fun.plus you'll save money now, and you know whats in it.. more thinks to think about with weapons next....

  • communication: short wave receiver, how CB's ; citizens band..very good! you will need to know what's going on around you..If you can, buy a hunting camp, or move out of the city and suburbs..The less population around you equals the better chances of staying safe.. know your surroundings at all times, know any threats.. learn to say 'NO".. convince your family that the threat of this country collapsing is very real. just look around you! we are in the toilet waiting to be flushed! next..hunting

  • in addition, psycological preparedness..think about that.. you may actually have to kill your neighbor to survive..Hmmmm. you or them, dog eat dog..can you do that, because if you can't you're done..remember; there will be NO ONE comming to help you, and your family...what about sickness and injuries?? know any EMS, or at least basic first aid? If you have "alot" of spare time join an ambulance and or fire dept..free emergency training! and those folks think like this.... think about it...

  • additional things to consider;with guns, use standard or common calibers.you may have to steal ammo... learn to reload rifle,pistol,shotgun..powder stores easily, also bullet casting. .22 cal very potent little round, easy to supress and no recoil..perfect to learn on plus kids and folks who are gun shy.. LEARN some electricity basics..and wtaer purification..this stuff is very important..You are NOT going to be able to rely, or trust anyone but your family, the rest may come for you!

  • When is the economy going to collapse?

How long, how many years do we have?

  • @14sJakeB190 Soon Very Soon

  • .22s and high power .177s to feed yourself (you can store lots of ammo easily), a repeating shotgun or powerful handgun for emergencies only - defending yourself. (ammo not as easy to store in bulk). Fishing gear, water purifier, axe, multitool knife, lots of disposable cigarette lighters, best first aid kit you can buy, small flashlights and transistor radio with lots of batteries , dehydrated noodle snacks, rice, salt. A good dog if you can feed it.

  • Perhaps you don't have one but it may be worth mentioning in a future video that pellet stoves don't work with the power out, they have fans and augers which need to turn otherwise the pellets won't burn. Cordless phones are useless with no power too, because while the phone itself will still have battery power the base won't.

Also while you've probably already dealt with this I'd get a hand-cranked grain mill as a backup if I were you, and spare parts. Great vid, keep up the good work!

  • Believe me you are going to need more than 60 rounds of ammo, because by the time you deal with looters, and gangs appearing on the scene, your bullets will be gone, an deven if you kill those thugs out, then you have to fight invading china, or possibly muslims that are going to slaughter you, an dyour family because you do not have enough ammo to fight them off. Best get yourself at least 1000 rounds, then as you take out the enemy, get their ammo, weapons, and supplies.

  • SEED is a good idea too :)

  • Sugar will not spoil unless infested with insects or dampness. Dried beans will take 2-3 hours of cooking, which will put a serious strain on your energy source. Flour should be stored in sealed mylar bags inside metal buckets. You need a lot more canned goods. Huge amount of salt for preservation. Freeze dried or dehydrated vegetables.

  • i need to thank you so much......

  • The Military uses DU(Deplete Uranmium) rounds... YES even 5.56 DU rounds. And you will need mroe ammo than a few hundred rounds. When you may scare of an attacker or two. But as time passes the more well armed people are going to be left. And once the shooting starts and your breathing becomes erratic and your body trembles from Adrenilne your aim gets worse with very thump of your heart... and ammo goes REALLY QUICK!

  • yes and no

  • Opps, AR 15

  • You really need to think variety, children, especially, will get sick of beans and rice FAST!! I have beef stew cooking right now, in mY All American Brand Pressure canner. I have 8 months of meat stored, I have 14 cases of food from the LDS bishop's Pantry, even non mormons can use the cannery!! I have 25 buckets of food stored, with the Mylar bags and Gamma seal lids, I have silver, water, and a STAG Arms AR 14 with 250 rounds, 2 Glocks, several hunting rifles and 500 or so rouns of ammo

  • Great communities springing up all over outside the US. We just bought a micro sustainable farm in English speaking Belize. Anyone can run one and they supply a whole family with everything they need. Being away from Americas ignorant regulations they are very affordable. If you want info darinsmith.Inbox.com retreat while you can.

  • have you figured out what method you will use to bake your bread when the gas goes out? you sould make you self an old fashoned oven, that would be a fun project

  • My great great grandpappy sold moonshine illegally and killed some people to survive the first Great Depression.

    I'll just follow his example.

  • God help us all

  • Maybe this is just what we need? We can all show the world how great our country is. Let's try helping one another. Isn't this what our four fathers would have done?

  • shit man i know things are bad but do ya really think it going to go that far that you will need all this stuff i hope u never have to use eney of this stuff it will b a really sad day the day ya do iv cn a lot of vids like this is it that new wold order thing thats got every one so worryed my 12 year old bro going on bout it all the time y is every one going on bout the end of the wold men have gon on bout the end of the wold for 100s of years

  • do you have any further information, and or resources for buiding a wind generator?

  • Sugar does not spoil as long as its kept dry. also keep the freaking ants out of it

  • lame u never went hunting lol i live in the suburbs and my grandpa always took me hunting but the reason why we have 112 guns and 35000 rounds is cause we collect them its not for survival its a hobby so collecting them u dont need to think about that but great video none the less

  • do u not have any savings in the bank. all these survival economic collapse people seem to store food but not give a fuck about money. what exactly is your idea of an economic collapse. do you think everyone in usa is going to suddenly have zero bank balance from a lifetime of saving. what the hell r u people talking about.

  • @gavinsstuff It happend in 1929 everyone went to get their "life savings" out of the banks and the banks couldnt supply all their clients. People who had their money in the banks were left broke. This is why people want to buy precious metals like gold and silver.

  • @epluribusunom ok so where do you suggest people like brad pitt should put there money. or the many many people who have money. that would be a shit load of gold to stash under the mattress. and anyway gold is too expensive these days

  • @gavinsstuff What is money. Just a number in a computer is what your acct is. Given that oil is going to go to 200$ a barrel soon and deflation of your money. It all adds up. Gold is projected to be $2000 by the spring. Silver is going up also. If one day the banks will just not open what will you do than. What will you use to go and buy some rice, some flour, some beans. Will you use your account balance to buy it. I bet they will not take it!

  • @gavinsstuff government prints money as fast as they can, it gets devalued and your life's savings buys a tiny fraction of what it otherwise would have. Money is in essence, shares of the wealth of the nation. By printing more, your shares have diminised value. Print enough, and enough confidence is lost and it could become worthless. Once a currency collapes, it is no longer of any value.

  • @fastacker2 typo diminished ,..

  • you should invest in "seeds" for farming becuase lets say you run out of food or somthing or some else thats reading this comment... seeds are great becuase you can grow your own food also learn how to farm and what you can do if any diseases pop up on your crops... Love The Video thx

  • @15MrBlue When you buy your seeds you need to be careful. They have created seeds that will grow plants but that are sterile. In other words, they will grow the squash this year but the seeds in the squash will be sterile and cannot be used to regrow squashes the next year. They have been genetically modified to do this so that you have to come back to the seed sellers the next year. Check this before you buy from dealers.

  • i was thinking the same thing about the silver. stock up on cheap trading items, such as fire starters, water, and cheap food such as ramen noodles.

  • Sugar won't spoil, just so you are aware. Sugar, Salt, and Honey will not spoil. But its a good idea to stockpile all three

  • Good video but i'll add one correction. Sugar does not spoil. It may clump up and get hard but it does not go bad. That goes for white and brown.

Honey is better for you though.

  • Listen up and pay attention this is serious. There is a story about a Family man in Argentina after the economic collapse who had to trade his daughter for a bag of rice so him, his wife and new born son could survive. I guaranteed you do not want be in that situation. In the military we have something called "The Rule of 666" You cant go 6 minutes without air, 6 days without water, and 6 weeks without food. Guns and ammo is not the most vital part of survival but it is still necessary.

  • @kaneyoushie That's the rule of 3's. The rule of 6's is a nursing term. In any case the only hard fast rule is 3 days without water. Six days without water is about 3 days dead in most cases. The rest are highly subjective.

  • Uh, what are you going to do with that stuff if something does happen?

  • I've been preparing for 3 years now and converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home to get rid of all my utilitty bills...I made a video called, "Preparing for Peak Oil...

  • I like the windmill idea for survival but I can tell you from experience a treadmill motor won't charge crap. you will need a big wind generator, And buy some solar panels if you can afford them.

  • Believe me the first thing you need is WATER!!!! you can have all the food and the guns and the nuclear missiles that you want but without WATER you can't boil your food or stay alive more then 5 days and you die...on a big stack of food with your guns lying beside your corps ;) But none the less you should get protection to keep your water to yourself indeed, but first and foremost WATER! Or get a gun and kill the guy who doesnt have a gun and has water. It's survival mode..sad but true

  • @ 1:58 you say "the first thing in preparedness is food", let me correct you..."the first thing in preparedness is" bare arms to protect "your food" and other resources...

  • Where ya get the grinder?

  • This country could not just split into 2, but 3 maybe 4. These are sad times.

    1. Living off the grid + easy 2understand, more free, own work., just? idk

    - hard life threat of invasion

    2. working w/ own society + familiar environment, culture stays in tact, same

ppl - lots of clueless ppl possibly wild west.

    3. Zietgest, neocon republic/4th industrial revolution + well technology - fascism might result along w/ required 2 take chip

    using military

Divide and conquer is their motto.

  • And food wont last long in stores and empty homes they will be raided so people will start dying from lack of food in first few weeks. When there not killing each other. It may be even faster then that due to the lack of water.

  • @asimonds422 The only idiot is people like you that will be dead or crying for food because you are to smart to think ahead just look at the history of man kind it happined before will happin again

  • @asimonds422 You are 100% correct. Please don't do anything like getting prepared. You just go right on believing the government and the media. Our country will be so much better off if people like you don't waste our resources by preparing. You just stick to your guns and stand fast and depend on the government that loves you and would never lie to you.

  • remember to buy holiday candy when its on sale! It will be good comfort food or good for barter.

  • Ammo is important because it can also put food on your table when oyur food stock startes to get low

  • I don't own any guns, but they are important equal to food because if you can't protect it, someone else can take it. like a quote I heard in a movie once. "You guys make me laugh with all your bottled water, canned food, flashlights & batteries. I mean c'mon think about it if something happened, something really bad like if earthquakes and floods and people dying in the streets and people are hungry who do think is really going to survive, you or me with my gun!" Great vid!

  • @D33Lux Not sure what movie you got that from but it made me lol because it idiots like that are going to get killed of first. Ya they may get away with raiding a house your two but when they roll up on someone thats ready and willing to protect there food and family they wont last. Funny thing is most people that have food put up like that know how to use there guns.

  • I'm sure you'll be laughing tough guy. That's my point, you can have all the food in the world, but if you don't have a weapon to protect it with then what? Also stop acting bullet proof its boring, its annoying that everyone thinks they're invincible because they own a gun...hey guess what there's hundreds of millions of gun owners around & alot of them aren't good people, mentally stable or prepared for a possible SHTF situation. Katrina, New Orleans ring a bell? How about Haiti's earthquake?

  • You should also be very concerned about videos being uploaded with only one channel of audio!

  • You got all that rice and stuff but can you cook it? Can you make spanish rice, cuban rice, rice pilaf, rice pudding etc...........

  • Rice is $15.15 at Sam's for 50 lbs. But a ton, literally. The best thing to barter is food. Rice is easy to cook & filling. Also grits, oatmeal & pasta, all cheap NOW. Beans are essential for a complex protein when eaten with wheat, pasta, or rice. Survival foods. Also get dried onions, granuated garlic & lots of salt. Don't buy much flour, it rots quickly & can make you very sick from bacteria. Buy a hand crank wheat grinder. Start a garden NOW, test & prepare the soil NOW Buy #10 cans of seeds

  • you should of gotten good rice and flour.. not the bleached kind,, but none the less good for you

  • Sugar does not spoil - it doesnt even need O2 pack. Just FYI -

  • @florgat91 You need to check out youtubes on the FRB they are the ones that have caused this mess!

They are devaluing the dollar. They are forcing us to pay them interest for our own money! We pay them $1.4 billion a day! They are the evil force behind our collapse. Check out the Bilderbergs and CFR.

  • no, the Fed postponed a collapse

  • florgat91:Wrong,THEY CAUSED the 1st depression, and will cause the next one to come

  • .22 ammo is no longer available. O.O What does that say about survivalism??

  • Your comment on ammunition and how much to have on hand makes a lot of sense. Now in Ca. if you keep more than the govt. specified amount you are considered a horder. How much can one family do?

  • thanks for the vid

  • Comment removed

  • Stock up on B+M baked beans----umm umm good. Beter than cash !!!!!

  • excellent advice for a beginer man.

these are things that many people would over look.

another thing always have more than one can opener heheh.

  • I hear those in the know, that on the night after the nation falls, say meet at the bankers homes and tie up the bankers, then do to his wife what he did to America all night long, and sell his children to the drug lords in Mexico for their entertainment. as for me, I will just stand off to the side and say the bankers caused it ,,they must pay the mob's price.

  • Haven't seen your other videos yet, but 1 thing I'm planning to buy soon is a solar-powered battery charger (for my NiMH batteries). Not only are NiMH batteries supposed to work better in the cold & are rechargeable, but when the power's out & your (flashlight, etc.) batteries are dead it's nice to have the ability to recharge batteries. I have a UV light water purifier, which is good (doesn't require hours of waiting before using water), but it would become useless when batteries die.

  • Wow, filling out a gun form in someone elses name is a felony and is a STUPID mistake DONT DO IT!

  • If you're not prepared to become a cannibal, then there is no purpose to prepare for a collapse.

  • MRE's last about 4 years

  • crasster..

Awesome vid, but what do you do when you live in NYC where an apartment like mine is probably as big as your closet? Be well

  • I don't have any felonies, I was adjudicated as a minor for property damage. How can I get my gun rights back? Anybody.

  • Were they taken away? You CAN own a firearm. You have no "felonies", It's OK if you buy one, consider just filling out your application in someone else's name, (if you purchase legitimately through a "dealer"), or buy them in another state if you can. Have someone else purchase for you. Arizona is a good state to purchase a firearm. But, ask around, friends of friends, family members, cousins. Co workers. Anywhere you can. But, if there's no felonies, you're ok.

  • Watch Rob Menard's videos, 303Miles...or check out 'freeman-on-the-land'...you need to look into making a 'claim of right'...easier than it sounds ;)

  • I can make a non gun that will shoot through a bullet proof vest that does not use bullets, and is totally quite for under a dollar, where there is a need there is a way.

  • Clif bars and beef jerky, muscle milk will stay around for a long time, fuck all that wheat and rice.

  • very intellegent good video 5/5

  • great vid and great 1st vid. subscribed

  • i dont know we are in a pretty big hole

  • for a family of 6, it takes about 1,000 pounds of wheat to feed them a year. Plus the other stuff.

  • you just need a gun with ammo in it, usually having a loaded gun is enough without actually having to fire it, right?

  • I don't know... In the event of massive civil unrest, you may have to fire it.

Basically, just using simple logic, erasing the glam of Rambo types, I say if you need more than a 3-4 hundred rounds of ammo, you are in a full blown war, and will probably die.

My guns are to "get me out" for emergencies only, or defend my property in light civil unrest.

These types you see collecting 20 guns and 80,000 rounds of ammo don't realize they only have 2 arms to use them. It's delusional.

    Thanks!

  • well i have 26 guns, 10,000 rounds, but i don't have 2 arms. My family and friends have started building our own gated community out in the country, and being able to arm them with multiple firearms makes things safer. The more guns the better.

  • @sgtSqeegee119 i want in i got shit and money

  • some peeps buy guns/ammo for barter as well, esp ammo.

  • @crasster1 if im in a gun fight that i need more than 1000 rds of ammo for, i want to look for how the hell to get out of it!

  • @crasster1 but they also have a group of arms to meet up with them

  • @crasster1 if you have 20 guns and 80,000 rounds of ammo you can arm and supply others who may not be as well prepared as yourself.

  • @crasster1 I have the 20 guns and 80 K rds. for my family and friends that don't have their stuff together. We are not going to surthrive this alone.

  • @crasster1 you need to think of the big picture, you say only 2 arms to use them, but in reality, they are arming their family and friends with the guns as well. If you need to hunt to get food what will you use? A gun. You need ammo for defense and hunting. Weapons also prevent transgression due to fear.

  • @crasster1 actually no it isnt. If our country goes down the tubes for years we have issues getting ammo to hunt and defend. Also, with the fact of solar maximum being the highest its ever been in 8000 years we may not have electricity or and other electrical devices (cars etc etc) by 2012.

  • @Drumybum The pysisits are saying to expect disaster as we also have several holes 4 times the size of earth in our magnetosphere and if we get hit with a cme/ime during this max we are totally screwed. The holes reside between 20 and 70 drgrees latitude which is almost all of the civilized world (remember chem trails? hehehe) 6x the EPA levels of barium...whats barium used for you say? Radation sheilding is its main use.

  • @robertwc82 that depends on where you live

  • My bad, I should have finished the vid before commenting, sorry. But the other posters are right about storage bins. You can get them SUPER cheap at walmart (like 10-15$ for a 20-30 gallon tub) I would get them before the rodents start sniffin' out your supply lol.

  • honeyvillefoods website

Great prices on long term storage foods and $4.95 shipping on all orders!

  • IMO you need way more than 60-100 bullets. Don't think that you'll hit every shot during a gun fight. You could easily waste 100 bullets in just one battle for your house. Get more like 1000 to start.

  • i've got over 14000 bullets before the whole world sold out of 7.62X39 and .45.

  • What?! 7.62 x 39 is gone???

  • look around, check online, call your local stores. You can't find it anywhere except a few places selling a couple 20 round boxes. See the video on youtube 3/23/09 Glenn Beck ammunition shortage.

  • Cabela's has some. Order today

  • you have a good food storage, but it will all spoil if you dont store it right, if stored proper it could las up to 30 years, tru 6 gallon food safe buckets they work great but dont forget the oxegen obsorbers

  • What evils did I commit to the true Hebrew Israelites again?

My family on both sides immigrated to the USA after the Nazi's ran us out of Czechoslovakia.

We were poor farmers until my generation. I know of your movement, and I hate to break it to you, there were the 12 tribes of Israel, not 2.

The USA will be destroyed because of the New World Order's wickedness.

  • Just out of curiosity I don't understand why people are storing up so much wheat??....I mean when was the last time you actually ate it other than in bread? Also without spices and different tastes in your food supply you guys will live....but you'll be tempted to NOT eat because you're so sick of the same food. On another note canned tuna is cheap, and a good source of protein, also Peanut butter, and don't forget produce, get a dehydrator, and dry as much as you can.

  • people store wheat so they can grind it into flour. Flour will store a year or two, but wheat, stored right, will store for 20 years. It's economic sense, plus most of us can't grow enough wheat to feed ourselves.

  • Great info.

I also read that the nutritional value of flour is gone after 6 months - so having wheat to grind is the best way to ensure you are not just consuming empty calories.

  • @crasster1 your family where ran out of czechoslovakia last i knew europe isnt a jewish home land they had no reason to be there.

  • there is a way to avoid this stuff... look up the Venus Project to see what I mean

  • clothes pins were an item we didn't even think about. thanks.

  • Just a comment on the packing of grains, rice, sugar and other items. Safearmsreview has a great video on it. Previous poster may have been commenting on bugs and moisture getting into the bags. He does say he will store the items properly on the video.

  • The first thing in preparadness is comunity.

  • I love you.

Jesus Christ dosen't spoil like sugar dose.

  • The way you have that grain packed it wont last but a few years.. Remember the rule of 3's

  • whats the rule of 3? do you mean, 3 minuets without air, 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food? or is it something for specifically food storage?

  • a GREAT resource for gold and silver is Midas Resources. check out their website!

  • Ted and the guys at Midas are GREAT!!!!!!!

  • I think most people need to start by giving up stuff like fizzy drinks, Junk food, ie Mc Donalds, Burger King, potato chips, chocky biscuits and so on.. Most are addicted to this sort of garbage. Need to get back to the basics of whole foods like in this video. Great job mate.

  • I completely agree with you DC. People have to stop buying into big name brands or going to the bigger named stores which are taking out the small family owned stores. It's all brainwash. People need to finally wake up.

  • Sugar doesn't spoil.

But you're still better off growing sugar beets.

  • all i need is a tarp a fire steel and a deer rifle and a 22 rifle and im set so im not worried at all! the one thing alot of people don't think about is that they might have to leave their home to seek saftey and also if you bought a gun then "they" know that you have a gun so expect them to come and get that gun from you they have you address and if martial law is declared expect them to be paying you a visit.

  • So you're expecting them to come to your home to pay you a visit as well, right?

  • check the bakery departments in your local grocery store for food buckets. make sure they have only had food in them. clean & dry well. they just give them away where i'm at. beats $7 + each.

  • Walmart bakerys gives them away (practically) if you all ask for them...it's the 5 gallon buckets food grade....

    All for free

  • crasster1 you are a smart man.

  • NO NO NO !!!!Sugar DOESN'T go bad!!! In fact you can preserve almost any food by mixing it with it's equal weight in sugar!!!! And all that wheat, rice etc. will be of no use if you don't have enough FUEL to cook it ALL. That's a whole lot of propane ,oil or wood if the electrical supply is cut off.

  • Obviously this person knows nothing of preparedness. Also did not watch the 2nd video where I have solar power & solar ovens to cook food.

Also, sugar does indeed go bad after a couple years. Honey lasts way longer.

  • woodpiles.Reason I mentioned propane is that a tank will provide enough fuel for a year of cooking if you're frugal with it.Anyhow,God bless & lets hope we're too pessimistic & won't need our supplies. Please consider the sugar/honey business. We're most of us not rich & a family can afford a whole lot more sugar than honey. If you don't want to take the word of a woman who's actually stored the stuff herself, please do some more research. If you preserve from moisture it keeps FOREVER!!

  • Whatever choices we all make we'll have to live with. Mormons store honey. They've been doing it longer than both of us have walked the Earth.

But whatever, doesn't matter. You are right, hopefully we are all too pessimistic.

  • Everything I'm reading says sugar is self storing and dosen't go bad however the flour does and sure be stored as whole wheat.

  • try to get away from the citys to. Who knows what will happen, but I wouldnt doubt that theres gonna be guys with guns knockn on the door. Get a mortar an pestle to.

  • My first job I was a cook, and still am got 7 years of cooking under my belt. Everyone at my work thinks I am a crack loon, but fuck em I tried to tell em an incramentally I am grabbin shit from the place I work. You can also make a magnetic generator good enough to give you what light you need.

  • you should make sure that you are rotating your stock. Constant rotation on all food stocks. Also look into canning, a pressure canner and a canning bath setp is cheap. Recipes are plentyful. I have stocked my cuppard with stews, chillis, chicken meals. Also if you live in Texas you can buy tortilla mixes for really cheap, all tehy require is water and something hot to cook them.

  • Not a bad video...You are going to need more ammo than that bud, if for nothing else than bartering. You can use .223 in 5.56x45 and vice versa, however they are different and if you stock up you should at least research before major purchases.

  • Yeah, I know I could always use more ammo.

I may get 100 more bullets. All in even portions though.

  • I'm not sure whats in for in Canada with this finicial meltdown, but were rnot allowed to have guns. So I guess were screwed if worse if the police are overwhelmed and can't protect us against criminals.

    bummer..

  • Awesome food supply but you need to get that into better storage. The way you have your food stored its vulnerable to insects sun damage water and moisture damage. There are some videos on food storage on youtube. You should get at least 1 hand grinder in case theres a long term power outage. It would be a good idea to get a supply of vegetable seeds to store also I store mine in the freezer and then of course gardening tools.

  • Everything is in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers in rubber maid tubs now. I stock up for 2 months then perm seal em.

  • Really good video. Being a baker, I thought I should let you know that that yeast should be refridgerated,(live organisms) if you leave them in the cabinet it will eventually lose its leavening ability. Wild Yeast is actually IN THE AIR and in a pinch, you can mix flour & water in a bowl or wide-mouth jar, leave uncovered in a warm place, Wild yeast will settle on it and begin to multiply. Stir this twice a day, and on the 2nd day, you will need to begin 'feeding' it. You remove (cont'd)

  • (cont'd) - remove approx. 1 cup of the mixture and discard it, and add back 1 fresh cup of flour/water mixed, and stir it back into the main bowl/jar of starter. After a few days it will have a "yeasty" smell, and as long as you feed it daily you will keep a fresh supply of sourdough bread starter always on hand. Look online, there are plenty of recipes for sourdough bread. If one couldn't get yeast, isn't it nice to know wild yeast is always there?

  • yes thanks! Good to put this comment on here. Wild yeast is a great and abundant! What a gift.

  • We wild yeast is an awesome thing to know to harvest. Thanks for posting this.

  • also can be used for beer, wild yeast makes white beer, which tastes so much nicer, in my opinion.

  • Yeast is the gift that keeps on giving? LOL As a female, I had to chuckle at that.

Good preparations. But as some people forget, all that food has to come out at some point. Don't forget to stock up to TP and plastic bags. I haven't watched your next video yet. Maybe you'll mention it there.

Kudos on the silver. I am a coin collector and know the value of bartering with silver and gold.

  • Sucks for the States.

  • yes it does.

  • and the world, too

  • Dude. I like the video. Especially your plan for power and the silver coins. Ever thought of making a vegetable garden? It will provide fresh vegetables in times of crisis. But if shit hits the fan 60 rounds of ammo isn't enough. I've basically done exactly the same as you...except I'm not sorted out for emergency electricity yet but I got a vegetable garden and I have more ammo. Let's just hope the situation never gets that bad in the first place.

  • I suggest a gun for each member in your family of the same caliber. 60rds will go quick. Atleast a 2k rds.

  • Damn. I'm envious of your preparedness.

  • Just doing what I can..... Thanks and keep stocking up!

  • Read my mind.
