  • The turn you play elspeth you don't attack with baneslayer, such a terrible play like 5 life mattered, you're only out is if he doesn't have removal so attacking was just wrong

  • @DGice2 unless he is playing around brave the elements

  • The M1o/11 dual lands are about the best you can go for without spending alot of money, either them or Zendikar manlands if you're running those colors.

  • A Chain Reaction + Brave the Elements would be devastating against Cavaglieri :O "Yeah, I deal 12 damage to all creatures in play and give all my creatures pro red.." 1 sided WoG ftw :]

  • @narutozrasengan yeah but Worldwake wasn't out

  • william lost the game, by being to defensive

its not someone who you can call a pro

  • thanks for the advice!

  • You can use Terramorphic Expanse too. And the Panaroma Lands vrom the Shards of Alara block. ;)

  • if you are beginner tryspike lands form alara or duallands out zendikar cheap good a nuf carts for beginner decks

  • does any veteran out there have any suggestions as to what lands to purchase other than freakin expensive fetch lands? im still starting and i dont wanna burn my wallet on lands. thanks a lot!

  • You can buy m10 dual lands.

  • THX for the upload.

    GG

  • lol@ bad players thinking fetch lands are bad, yeah the entire top 8 of worlds must suck at this game for all playing them, just watch the games and you'll see how good they are.

  • What is their twitter account name so i can follow the magic pro tour?

  • The sheer fact that you can use the land the same turn you use the fetch land, makes it immensely better than terramorphic expanse/

  • @Zuul030 But think about it, you can use a regular basic land the turn it comes out. and you don't have to pay a life to do it.

The only excuse to have them really, is to trigger the steppe lynx's ability.

And still, don't you think those lands should be uncommon at the least, instead of rares?

  • Ok.. here are the benefits of having a Fetch land:

    1. It comes into play untapped which gives a huge tempo advantage. I tried to use Expanse and found it to be too slow.

    2. It thins your deck out. Each fetch land you use gets rid of a land you might draw into, which gives you more opportunities to draw into useful spells.

    3. It activates ANY landfall ability, not just Steppe Lynx's

  • I can only assume they are rare because they thin your deck out... though I don't pretend to understand Wizards of the Coast's way of thinking

  • The land doesn't come out tapped. That makes a huge difference.

  • why rare? Let's start from the fact that any type of "dual" land that comes into play untapped is rare (painlands, old-duals, Rav-duals, etc).

No common or uncommon mana fixing card let's you get an untapped land for just 1 life without any mana cost.

And dont forget, in the current Standard format there are not duals, but Legacy/Vintage and Extended do (just to mention a few)... Fetches can get all the duals, which Expanse cannot

  • @neke82 I still don't like them. =/

Rofl. But I run things like teetering peeks and piranha marshes in my decks sometimes. xD

  • In a landfall deck, it either acts as double pump/trigger for the creature and can act as a pump/trigger in response to a lightning bolt/attack from the other player. Trust me, play against a Landfall deck and you will cry when the dust settles.

  • It is annoying how he says cracks a fetch land. He should just say sacs a fetch land.
