I did my peircing with a regular earring too, but the end was a bit sharp so it would be easy, i just steralized the peircing and the area of my nose, then got some ice and numb my nose, it took a while to get through but the ice definetely helped. also get a towel to bite on, because it'll hurt a bit.

your fucking stupid. to let anyone pierce your nose but a profesional. u can not fully sterilize a saftey pin or any other needle but a needle used for piercing. there is a nerve in ur nose that is connected to your cheek and if u pierce ur nose in the wrong place and hit that nerve u can possibly lose all feeling in the side of ur face. ur lucky that didnt happen to you. i would be careful next time someone tells u to pierce ur nose by urself.

Safety pins are not steel. They are COATED, making it impossible to sterilize. In fact, if you try, or even if you don't, the chances of pieces of the coating flaking off and causing infection is great.

Well, I actually have pierced my own nose, and I just did it for the second time, same side (see my video for that), And I would never use a popsicle stick on the inside because of the bacteria that grows on it, I used an icecube from a tray for long skinny water bottles, after I boiled the water to kill the bacteria, I froze it and that's what I stuck in my nose for piercing.
