  • i got one of these on ebay as a scratch n dent for $100. switched out the orig. bridge pickup for a Gibson Angus Young Sig. and it sounds WAAAAY better than the "newer" Gibson sg's

  • lil tip it took me a while to figure it out to so no shame in it but all gibbys with four knobs are 2 tone in the back and 2 vols in the front

  • Thats it. Im getting one.

  • 0:29

it came with 200 dollars? SHIT BRO, I'M GETTING ME ONE TOO!

  • @MrPudgypants haha, I said it "came out to $200", as in, it was $150 plus shipping which was $50

  • Question: With some SG copies, the headstock is heavier than the body, which is lame when you don't have your hand on the neck. Is the guitar well balanced?

  • @TheExiledTexan actually that's a problem with sg's in general since the strap button is located on the back of the guitar instead of on the horn(like a strat). The guitar does tilt down toward the headstock, it is not balanced. But its not a big deal for me.

  • dude you should do a cover of Fade to black on the Cielo SG. :)

  • Great video, helped me a lot on my decision to get one. Plan to get one of the PRS styled one.

  • @Scrrogle007 Oh cool, you should definitely post a review when you get it, they look really nice

  • just bought an astons saber by cielo which is basically an ibanez guitar still waiting for it to get here

  • @tellyurfriends is that the one with the neck-through and natural finish? I really liked that one

  • is this guitar pretty light? I had a Epi G400 and it felt like holding an anchor.

  • @psychodeathmonkey yes, I was surprised how light it was(and its a Jumbo Body) Im used to solid body electric guitars so anything under 8lbs is light to me.

  • Hey man, you're a pretty good player. I'm thinking about getting one of these since I love SGs and cheap guitars. Might drop some GFS pickups in it.

  • Thanks, I appreciate that.

I was thinking the same thing, I dont know how to solder though, so I haven't attempted it yet

  • You could just pay a luthier to do it. I doubt a pickup swap will cost that much.

  • Put some Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings on that guitar and have it professionally set up, and check every fret. They must be level with each other. Any fret that sticks up is going to cause buzz on the fret behind it.

Consider an electronics upgrade from RS Guitarworks. You can really improve the tone of any guitar with their stuff (pots and caps). They sell an SG upgrade kit for about $90.00.

The toggle switch plate reads "Treble" on the neck position, at least on Gibson SGs.

  • Hey, thanks for the tips, I plan to upgrade it eventually, but it actually sounds pretty good for overdrive and distortion playing(which is what I bought it for)

    So I'm good for now.

  • it's based on the Epiphone g400.

  • What's the action like? neck shape; is it the fat C-shape neck, or the Thin U?

  • its a thin neck, I wouldnt call it a "U" shape but its a fast playing neck, not fat at all

  • Very cool guitar, man. I laughed at the reflection part. It's so shiny lol.
