I just visited Pittsburgh for the first time this past weekend and have fallen in love with the city! I'm from Chicago and have already been looking at the Cubs 2012 schedule to see when they'll be playing at PNC Park, so I can plan a trip back out to Pittsburgh to catch a game...& I promise to be a behaved, quiet Chicago fan! LOL!!

Wow, very nice, but your camera doesn’t do that view half its justice. I had a smiliar view from the upper deck concourse a few weeks ago during a Pirate game and how stunning the city looked from that location at about 9.30 on a beautiful night. It almost didn't seem real. But any view of Pittsburgh from that side of the river at night is incredible.

Wow! I'm from Australia and we have nothing like this where I live. I'm inlove with this city. I've never wanted to go to America before because when I've see it on TV shows and ads etc, it just didn't seem like a nice place. If I had the money now though, I would definitely visit :)

I hate how people outside of Pittsburgh, don't give the city enough credit. It's not a New York, it's not a Philly or Chicago, but it's a city most people love and you don't have to travel far to get to where you need to go, lol. I'm not hating on big cities at all. I'd ask you to read more, but after driving through Clairton, Glassport, Rankin, and other Shitsburgh neighborhoods, I know there's not many books there, so here's some facts.

The EPA calculated Pittsburgh's air as the 2nd most particle-filled in the country in 2008, only behind Los Angeles, and gave it Allegheny County an "F" in air quality. "Green" city? LOL That's adorable.

It got the G-20 because of a FUCKING SCHEDULING CONFLICT and it HAD to be a city within 5 hours of DC

Clairton, Glassport and Rankin are not city neighborhoods. They're former "company towns" in outlying areas. They need help, yes, but they're not indicative of the entire region. You'd know this if you drove through Dormont, Mt. Lebanon and Upper St. Clair, among others.

By the way, we have plenty of books here, thanks to the Carnegie Library system. So much for knowing your facts. *lol*

Speaking of facts, the EPA simply had the air monitors in place, just like they do in every other U.S. city. The American Lung Association did this "study," which amounted to nothing more than taking the air monitor with the worst reading in each region and extrapolating it across the entire region. (Ask statisticians what they think of extrapolation.) The worst in the Pittsburgh region just happens to be one mile downwind of a coke plant, in an area that even the EPA says is "non-attainment."

It was later determined that if you actually averaged out the air monitor results in each region -- as opposed to using the worst as representative of all -- then Pittsburgh would have had the 16th-highest rate of particulate pollution.

Well for one thing, I have never been to Freeport, even though it is in the Bahamas.

I go to Pittsburgh every year and at least they have seasons. Over here it is just 90 degrees all the time(including winter). Pittsburgh is not like it was in the 70's and 80's with the smog and grey skies. Its now the most livable city in America almost every year. Its a beautiful city and I would trade it for Nassau today if I had the choice.

Visit the point state park, and the point itself, take a relaxing ride on the Gateway Clipper, visit the mt. Washington Overlook , see the scenic sight of historic Pittsburgh's Skyline.
