What always bothered me about this, as a kid, and I know this is a nitpick, but when he writes the numbers on the column (3:18), the edge of the number goes off the the 'other side' of the column, showing that it is a flat two-dimensional piece of cardboard which is shaded to look like a three-dimensional column.
