they should make a third person Metroid instead of first person. It would still preserve some of the older things about 2d that made me and about 10 million other people love metroid.

the only problem with that is that then they would have to drastically modify the gameply (how could they still used the visors?), which would make it seem more different from both the other 3d games and side scrollers. Besides, the thing that really impressed a lot of people about the first MP was that it really did a great job of creating the illusion that you're seeing this through a visor, not from a TV screen, which they would have to cut out in that case.

That was the dumbest video of all time though...that goes nothing by the storylines and the true stats of the 2. Master Chief is a super soldier and I think he could honestly have killed samus very fast by using improvision. Samus however is more agile which wouldve been the only plus she has. Her armor is much weaker, especially now since chief has the mark 6 armor.

Metroid in no way shape form or fashion was ever meant to be an FPS. The game is about exploration and discovery on unknown worlds. That being said, the Prime games captured this sensations very well, especially the original.
