I'm surprised that it's been such an obscure film for so many years. I'd say that Birth of a Nation and Triumph of the Will are much dodgier productions, yet they can still easily be found in stores and are studied in film classes. Goodbye, Uncle Tom is one of the most incendiary pieces of filmmaking I've ever seen, and yet it's been rarely seen since its debut in the early 70s. It may be tacky and offensive, but it will provoke a lot more discussion than almost any other movie you've seen.

@4Xderrick you might be interested to know that jews were involved in the production and distribution of this film,and that it was intended to enrage blacks against whites by distorting and exaggerating the realities of slavery.It was used for two purposes,to defame the character of white people(who the jews hate)and to conceal the jews own enormous role in the african slave trade.The 70s miniseries "ROOTS" was also a jewish production used for the same purpose.

@IwontConform First off; We know the Jews, Arabics, and Europeans were all involved in the slave trade. This is no surprise. But please do not try to minimize the White American's involvement with it. These events were not exaggerated. If anything, many of the events were downplayed. I understand you may have a guilty conscious and don't want to be apart of what your ancestors did. And I can respect that, but what happened happened.

@Neany360 Yes,these events WERE exaggerated.And jewish-owned hollywood is still misrepresenting slavery,as it did in spielberg`s "amistad".In every case,slavery is presented as a white christian enterprise,when in fact it was jews who played the biggest role in the slave trade.Our educational system and mass media are still laying a guilt trip on white people for slavery while deliberately leaving out many important facts.You should watch david duke`s "shocking jewish role in slavery" video

Good question. Slavery and slave trading were a part of most every culture and society, over the course of human history. No one escapes culpability in that regard. What is unique to the Trans-atlantic slave trade was that it introduced the systematic breeding(manufacture) of slaves. We are an absolutey manufactured product of slave breeders. A completely destroyed people. A people who are no people at all.
