wen making an cartoon you have to draw every frame. ofcourse there is a lot of copy paste but still, 24 frames per second, 1440 frames per minute...
I have yet to come across a character development story in a game that really sucked me in. I think the closes for me was the second Resident Evil game. And I wouldn't buy a game for that anyway. That's what movies are for. I think were asking too much of a game if we expect it to have a entertaining story like say The Usual Suspects.

Blazblue story is a godsend for a fighting game with lots of ties between characters and their motives being more than just "I've gotta win this tournament". Some of them might look cliche one way or another, but hey, there's 17 of them and every one is protagonist of his own branching story. I don't think any other game could pull this off.

I'm a fan of 2D fighting, and I was really impressed by this game. However... to be honest, I just could not get into it. I don't know what it was.... It seemed like the controls were just a bit too stiff compared to other fighters of its kind. The characters are extremely unique and different from each other, but that also made the game very unintuitive. I won't hold that against the game though, but that is what put me off from it. I enjoy Guilty Gear a whole lot more.

I havn't played but have looked up a few vids on this. I don't understand how it can be described as visually impressive in any way. To me, it looks like something I would expect from an Arcade machine / late ps1 game.
The story mode looks little better than reading a series of text boxes, and i'm not sure how that puts it above basically any other beat em up story mode.

BlazBlue is an awesome game. I got it a few games ago and I was blown away. The only problem is that in the storyline it's very easy to get the "bad" ending. In fact, there's about 100 of them. You have to do everything right to get the "real" ending. But at the same time, it just expands on the universe even more and adds to the replay value. Excellent, excellent, excellent game. Buy it. I got the special edition used for cheap. Other than the cardboard box it came in it's perfect condition.

did you honestly just say that Infamous is not just "follow the storyline"? cause if you didn't you sure as hell made it sound like you did, and if you did: your a damn fool (do the story to get your new powers) and what grab some 20-50 shards to power up your "juice"? at least prototype had a couple hours, not 6, of game play and not a shit-ton of hype. (I've played both and just thought prototype was better for the move development and the time it takes to complete it)
Prototype was fucking hype, bullshit. It's "do this" or "go there". At least you can have different paths for InFAMOUS. Prototype is shit, the plot is shit, and the powers may be nice, but that's all it has.
I love how they promised to have different endings inside Infamous, which are not there, and there was like 6 attacks, and no matter what you do you can't save your girlfriend. Thats just lazy script/developing. I've beat infamous like 7 times; i bet i could beat the game 3 times in one day. I cannot say the same for Prototype, it also has much much more to accomplish than Infamous has to offer.
Prototype is the same damn thing. The plot's boring, and it sorta feels like a spiderman game, which that sucked too. At least some bits of In FAMOUS were different depending on your behavior.

I'd have to remove points on this game for lack of originality, that one character is a blatant rip-off of Dante from even down to his weapon. Now someone might point out that Dante is a rip-off of someone else, but the Dante look is clearly what they were going for in this game. That said I wonder how many other characters might look a bit too familiar.
Also, at the end of the day... it's just a fighting game. Storyline or not, you can't get immersed in a one on one fighting game.
I just don't find fighting games fun, they're pretty shallow experiences for the most part. Maybe I take issue with having borders on the arena as well as only being able to fight one person at a time. I'm sure there's technique to it, but I've never played a fighter where it's impossible for newbies to beat seasoned veterans just by mashing buttons. Also, the buzz killer is when you don't have friends to enjoy the game with.
and yes spoony is that great. even the mighty lee bows before the spoony one and his kingdom of neryness and gamerdom.....but i am sure he dont wanna fuck with dena or he will get the "coin treatment" lmao

Nope, I've only played 1-2 matches since it's release. If anything I'm just informed from my friends who own it. & from my own research. I don't just make generalizations of it from the 1st look. Because if you think about it EVERY game is a clone of SOMETHING else that came before. On another Note, I'm an otaku I have to know things.

did you honestly just say that Infamous is not just "follow the storyline"? cause if you didn't you sure as hell made it sound like you did, and if you did: your a damn fool (do the story to get your new powers) and what grab some 20-50 shards to power up your "juice"? at least prototype had a couple hours, not 6, of game play and not a shit-ton of hype. (I've played both and just thought prototype was better for the move development and the time it takes to complete it)

Prototype was fucking hype, bullshit. It's "do this" or "go there". At least you can have different paths for InFAMOUS. Prototype is shit, the plot is shit, and the powers may be nice, but that's all it has.

I love how they promised to have different endings inside Infamous, which are not there, and there was like 6 attacks, and no matter what you do you can't save your girlfriend. Thats just lazy script/developing. I've beat infamous like 7 times; i bet i could beat the game 3 times in one day. I cannot say the same for Prototype, it also has much much more to accomplish than Infamous has to offer.

Prototype is the same damn thing. The plot's boring, and it sorta feels like a spiderman game, which that sucked too. At least some bits of In FAMOUS were different depending on your behavior.

I'd have to remove points on this game for lack of originality, that one character is a blatant rip-off of Dante from even down to his weapon. Now someone might point out that Dante is a rip-off of someone else, but the Dante look is clearly what they were going for in this game. That said I wonder how many other characters might look a bit too familiar.
Also, at the end of the day... it's just a fighting game. Storyline or not, you can't get immersed in a one on one fighting game.

I just don't find fighting games fun, they're pretty shallow experiences for the most part. Maybe I take issue with having borders on the arena as well as only being able to fight one person at a time. I'm sure there's technique to it, but I've never played a fighter where it's impossible for newbies to beat seasoned veterans just by mashing buttons. Also, the buzz killer is when you don't have friends to enjoy the game with.
