yes indeed ace did come up with paul's star make-up. paul had a ring around one eye and ace thought it looked retarded (in his own words). ace suggested two stars on both eyes (much like his own?) and paul downsized it to one eye. the ironic thing is that paul came up with both vinnie's wizard ankh design and eric's fox make-up (although for press gene said that eric thought it up at the last minute before his first show). bill aucoin suggested the hawk make-up which of course was turned down.
