I got involved through friends, figured i'd try it, i was 16 and stupid, wanted to fit in ect. I remember thinking to myself " this must be what normal people feel like" It cured all my problems ...for a while anyway.

It was then removed from the final release because he felt that there were too many "noise" songs on it.
So they ended up selling it to MTV for 10k or something like that, not sure. There's also a demo version as a b-side to the Pennyroyal Tea single.

@Ampex101 kurt still wasn't pleased with what came off in utero. apparently when they first released it they still had to do some tweaking cause the higher ups thought it was unreleasable. you're right though they did start to play what they wanted. it was honestly the begining of what would be a very interesting and promising future for the band unfortunatley kurt couldn't deal with his inner demons and took his life shutting the door to so much too look forward to from such an honest band.

There's interviews of right before he died, and he also left a note. He didn't like his songs anymore. He didn't like writing them, thinking about them, making them, or playing them live. Kurt was inspired to write the song "I Hate Myself and Want to Die" because I was a Joan Jett fan "I Hate Myself for Loving You" and it was inspiration for me writing "I Hate Everything About You" performed by the band I named Three Days Grace. My mother nicknamed me Grace as a child and 3 is my favorite number. Lithium is atomic #3 and I wrote the song "3" performed by Britney Spears..."twister on the floor" was inspired by Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins playing twister.

This song has nothing to do with depression or suicide. This song was released at the best time of Kurt's life round about the time just before in utero, this is classic Kurt sarcasm he's happy so of cource he goes and writes a song called I hate myself and want to die.

I say his music was an outlet and release of such demons in a healthy manner. I think his creativity kept him alive. And with his plans to go on a different route in music, I doubt he killed himself personally.Folks can call me an idiot, but unless you were a fly on the wall at the time of his death, you can kiss my ass! My guess it is probably released on the Nirvana - With The Lights Out Box set.Try a torrent site to see if they have this box set (more then likely they will) or just copy and paste the youtube video link into a youtube converter (google it) and bingo you have your video in mp3 format to save to your computer.

By the way i've listend to nirvana since the early 90's . And Nevermind is a great album one of the best they made.
