  • A great video , thanks for posting that!

  • yea that last pattern is definately safer with the bomb...

  • the bullet dodging at 3:34 made me scream!

  • Psych! You're dead meat!

  • What does the bad ending say if you don't unlock the 2nd loop of DoDonPachi?

  • ok, now if i can only get past stage 4 without a game over....

  • I was just practicing this boss today, and I managed to survive the last attack for like 10 to 15 seconds, mainly luck haha.

  • @Krondelo Ive been doing abit of pratice to lower the number of bombs i need to get passed it. I can dodge the 1st and 2nd pattern but the others are so bloody hard. The 3rd and 4th patterns while initially looking quite easy are very hard due to their fast speed which makes them quite chaotic and hard to work out a safe route to dodge them.

Hopefully in time ill develop my shmupping skills to no bomb that mutha! (but it wont be any time soon lol)

  • Today I managed to make it this far, almost reached the Boss too. Ugh one day I will 1CC!!

  • I played this game while I was tripping once... it was ridiculous. I own the Sega Saturn version. I payed $55 for it!

  • he says

"That was a good flight! you should be commended. Psych! Your dead meat! Enemies you've been fighting against supposedly "Mechanized Aliens" where actually our guys, the missing battle fleet you learned about in the academy.

you where killing our guys without knowing it! But I planned that all along! and your death! it would be a nice finishing touch to my whole scheme. My special force are the best of the best and they will be welcoming you with fierce fire power. See you in hell!

  • a few misspellings from the game

  • @GermanZ5 Actually... he says "Fier power" typo ftw

  • Awesome job, you make it look so easy. How long did it take you to 1cc this game ?

  • I've seriously never seen someone who hasn't panic bombed the final pattern on the boss here :(

Still a great run of the first loop though, you've shown me some very helpful things in certain parts of the 5th and 6th stages.

  • The final pattern just needs a simple left-to-right movement, adjusting upwards when it starts to get a tad condensed. :)

    Hope that helps.

  • It did actually, as can be seen in my newest video

  • How Do you get DoDonPachi?

  • You play it in MAME emulator. Look for the ROM on Google. Or you can save up a few hundred bucks and buy the game board and play it on a supergun or arcade cabinet. The last option is to buy an import version for Playstation or Saturn.

  • Nice. I can only get about midway through 1-4 before I start panic bombing and eventually die at the boss. Then again, my excuse is that my obsolete laptop can only run the game at about 12fps, which makes it substantially more difficult to tell what's going on.

DDP is awesome. I really wish that they released more good manic shmups here in North America.

  • I think you can save a bomb on the last attack by moving up slowly after each bomb to avoid the aimed bullets. Once you get close to the boss, bomb and move back down.

  • You're good, but died 2 times and spammed a lot of bombs! I would like to see someone defeat that boss without any bomb.

  • hey good job now take aLOLJK

    mah boi, you will DIE.

  • I've never seen a perfect run :( I can only get up to the factory level without dying then i just get raped by the boss with that bs missle explosion attack

  • By the time I get up to the 4th stage boss, I start panic bombing. 5th stage, I have no idea what I'm doing. I learnt a few things here though, cheers.

  • One of the greatest shooters ever.

  • THE greatest shooter ever. ;)

  • Dude, you bitched out with the bombs during the boss fight.

  • Why does this look so much like the "KIDS" setting of the PSX version...?

  • So you didn't notice INSERT COIN flashing on the right side?

  • That's there in the PSX version, too, actually...

And I'm just talking about the bullet patterns.

  • Oh. My bad.

Also, you're right. The patterns do look significantly easier. Whuzzupwiddat.

  • this looks much easier than dai ou jou

  • Yeah, DOJ is more memory based, and I do find it to be much harder than DDP.

  • This game is straight up gangster stuff...being almsot constantly bombarded by enemy ordinance and having death just barely sway by you so often. This is how a shooter should be like; not the first person tactical shooter crap that we get so often.

  • Psych!

lol, you were in our base killing our doods

  • What a cruel, cruel man.
