On the other hand, you can find a lot of singers in their fourties who can reach the high notes. Reckoning Day isn't one of Megadeth's signature songs. If Mustaine cant sing it well anymore, he should keep it away from the setlists. In my opinion, his performance of RD in this show is terrible and shameful.

Maybe to someone on youtube watching a video for the sound itself this seems like a bad performance, but everyone at the concert seemed to be enjoying themselves, and that's what he's there for; He's being paid to play music and entertain the people who paid to see him. He's obviously doing it right. It's not always about the song itself, stage presence and the performance play a large role as well.

@anthony619fu The song was originally recorded in E flat, it's not like he's tuning it down to be able to sing. The original recording in E flat sounds, in my opinion, a lot better. But that's a matter of personal taste. I for one, prefer E flat to standard tuning, even in some classics like Symphony of Destruction, and tuning that one down doesn't necessarily come with incapability to sing. It's just a matter of preference. :)

Dave did not write 100% of every song Megadeth has come out with. But he is the frontman, and it is HIS band. He is the only original member left. And yes, Marty and Nick were great for Megadeth, but for all the die hard fans of that era it's over. But really the band line up now in my opinion is very good! Dave speaks very highly of Chris Broderick and I think James Lomenzo is a good bass player. Of course, I do like Ellefson ALOT more. He's one of my favorites. Can't wait for the new album tho

Everyone in the RIP line-up co wrote at least one song: Ashes In Your Mouth was written by the whole band, Lucretia is Ellefson's creation and he wrote many lyrics, Hangar 18 has lyrics by Nick Menza, Risk is the result of the cooperation between Mustaine and Friedman, etc... starting from Countdown to Exctinction, Mustaine calmed his ego down and let Megadeth become a real band.
