Also, at a certain point, it is understood that the body and mind are not two, but one. Still later, an awareness dawns that “you” and the “other(s)” and not two but one. So, when in combat you function seamlessly and spontaneously with no thoughts and from the knowledge of your oneness. This is the ‘action with non-action’ or ‘inaction with action’ that is a key concept to Eastern philosophy. There is no planning just perfect equanimity. All the greatest Master where in such a state.
Great videos...esoteric just means that you don't fully understand it. If you are aware of energies that cannot be seen with the eye then it’s not esoteric for you, but just a self-evident fact of your experience. But there are varying degrees to this awareness. Some shallow, and some a lot deeper. Energetics only fully grasped while in seated meditation, there is more of a limit to standing and even more so when moving.
Also the tip of the tongue on the pallet is a consideration for combat ... if your jaw is loose and your tongue is overlapping your teeth you will bite it off when someone hits you...For alchemy it is relevant too, but these are 'martial' arts after all ;)
It is a fairly standard practice to place the tip of the tongue on the upper palate. However my understanding is that this is only for "alchemy" . For the practices in this clip the holding the mouth/tongue in a natural position is fine. Try both and see what happens.
