  • Very nice video. The music with a mix of fishing memories. I live in Anchorage and as you can see the fishing bug starts biting me around this time of year to the point that I'm watching other people catch fish.

  • i wanna book a trip, im me ... Rolex2136

  • I live in kodiak and get to see this sutff daily.

Where as everyone else spends about 1000 dollars or more to see it :D :D

    It is gorgeous here.

  • hmmm...my comment didn't seem to go. Anyways, i was saying how the closeups seem to show arrowtooth flounder (snaggle face) and not halibut....a common mistake.

  • I do know the difference.... unfortunately, we just did not catch that many halibut that day, as you also know i am sure, we used those for bait. Overall on that trip we caught silver, king, a bunch of cod, a few halibut (none shown as you correctly pointed out), some other assorted bottom fish and a bunch of arrowtooth, hey thanks for the comment and looking at my trip.... you been?

  • yeah, i've been going up to alaska to fish for the summers since the middle 90's. I just got back last saturday from a 1.5 month visit. ...can't wait for next year. Nothing too outrageously big for me this year, the largest halibut was 135# I came back home with a good mix of fish, lingcod, halibut, rockfish, red/silver/king. I live in ontario, canada about 100km from toronto.

  • are silvers salmon?

  • Yes, the are, they are the last salmon that run into the rivers into Alaska. We normally try to be up there after the first week in September, cool and sometimes rainy weather but tons of fish, not really all that sporting, to be honest, at times, there will be hundreds stacked up in certain places. Thanks for looking at my video.
