Check out Xlink Kai, & XBConnect. I recommend Kai because there is a better player base (usually 200+ people on at any given time)

Microsoft shut off all the original xbl because no one used it and the only game that was still played was Halo 2 (which before the announcement had only a few hundred players). Post announcement of the shutoff, Halo 2 got a massive population boost until finally they turned XBL off. From a business standpoint, it made no sense to Microsoft to leave the servers open for only a few hundred people. It really sucks :/

Instead remaster the whole thing in HD and rerelease it on xbox360 with new servers. maybe add a phew maps and some of the game modes from reach. I liked halo for the simplicity. No jet packs, sprinting, or recoil. Leave that to someone who knows what they are doing, like DICE, I just want it to be me and a gun plain and simple.

A Halo 2 remake should not be made. Not like CEA. They should release Halo 2 on Xbox Live and leave it EXACTLY the same as it was in it's prime. My vote would be to take out shit like the BXR, but that's subjective.

I love Halo 3. It was my first real Live experiance. But playing Halo 2 back in 09/10 and playing it on XBC just reminds me that Halo 2 was one of the best games of all time, and I never got to play it in it's prime.

It's 100% free and what it does is that you can plug your Originial Xbox into your modem and servers come up for it. Its just like playing on Xbox live back in the day :)

Such memories. I was a sophomore in high school when this came out. I just had gotten Live and this game was perfect. I made so many good friends, played for hours. Just running around the maps trying to super jump, or finding glitches was fun. Time flies.

I only played halo 2 online for a short while but was great times i'll never forget. Not sure i believe MS saying it was "holding" the 360 back and had to drop halo2 xbox online matchmaking. :-[
