  • You seem very intelligent. You hit the nail on the head in so many areas, especially when you mentioned discrimination and black identity. They're embraced more by Blacks, but that's because there is no particular shade of "Black," in comparison to whites, usually. Finally, Novelas do underrepresent people of color through Latino America. Great video.

  • @BlindFocus1 , ,unless your dark brown or brown with Afro kinky hair and some African features, you are NOT black, the man or woman in the video is a caucasian, a dark caucasian, they don't look ANYTHING like a black person, so-called bi-racial / mulattos are Dark caucasians, there is no such thing as white, Caucasians are a MIXED race, so ANYTHING mixed is Caucasian; you can' t create a black person from racemixing two different races, it takes two blacks to create a black person, nothing less.

  • The lightest caucasians germans, sweedish askinazi jews, italians, and so on are the most mixed, the darker caucasians are the so-called Indians, Asians, Arabs, mexicans, spanish, and so on, this person in the video looks like an ARAB; the black race is NOT a mixed race.

  • @july95211 Oh, well whatever works for you. Either way, I agree with and could understand what the lady in the video is saying. I don't think she is a caucasian, I would consider her to be a mixed person of black and white ancestry, but not caucasian, in the general sense. I doubt most whites would look at her and see a white person. The woman in the vid has African features. Also, many mixed race ppl are brown. My skin is brown, and I don't have "kinky" hair. Race is really a social construct.

  • @BlindFocus1 , there is NO such thing as White, and if you listened to the video, he or she states that their father is so-called biracial and the mother is white, making he or she 3/4 WHITE, but there is no such thing as a white race, the black race is the hue man , original race, blacks are NOT a mixed race, you take him to Africa and blacks will not accept him as black, sorry, they will laugh at you.

  • @july95211 From your perspective Barack Obama is a white man...

Also, the current leader of the NAACP is Benjamin Todd Jealous, who's also ¾ white and ¼ black, however, he self-identifies as black, and thereby most people accept him as such.

Society defines a black person, or race in general. Not science.

  • @Marllon , ANYTHING mixed is caucasian, there is NO such thing as white, the so-called caucasian race is a MIXED race, Obama is a Dark Caucasian man NOT a black African, and you look Arab/ Jewish, the nose is a jewish nose, you don't lok anything like a black person ,seriously; the lighter the caucasian the more mixed..

  • @july95211 The fact that I look Arab is irrelevant, since I am nto an Arab. The reason I look Arab is because my European background is made up of predominantly Southern European stock, and when you combine that with ¼ black, it can result with a very similar look comparable to the average North African and/or Middle Easterner, since many of them are Mediterraneans who are genetically part black down the line.

My nose is a Jewish nose, because both my parents are part Sephardic Jewish.

  • Man, what the fuck is this?

  • I understand you. No one in the entire universe has control of who they look like.

  • Well you're only half right, the way I see it, the body and features we are born with are simply a reference point, and if we choose we could change our appearance if we want to

  • where was the first video

  • beautiful u are

  • Queer

  • Wow, have fun sucking penis you fag.

  • @sam12516 homophobic much? haha

  • One more thing. So my point is, racial divisiveness is a natural tendency that - in my opinion - is a subset of human fear. We fear the "other" who brings danger. Stupid but natural.

  • Hi! I'm the guy who's been discussing Lisa Ono with you.

I enjoyed your commentary. I would like to add that even white guys like me are of African descent. What we experience in life is NOT the same experience as a dark skinned person. But if we lined up all the several billion of planet Earth's inhabitants from left to right, there would be no exact place where any race would divide from any other. Take care!

  • @jcisbell Thank you!

  • Marllon, I guess your right, to be honest, I'm very light skinned and don't look very African yet alot of white people still consider me black, but another thing is have you heard about the Connecticut shooting where the guy Omar Thornton complained that racism was the cause?

  • Is this a girl or a guy

  • Read the profile and find out. Those aren't the only choices.

  • Comment removed

  • Marllon, They do the same thing in Chile. half the population in Chlie is Mestizo but you see a lot of White anchors on the news and white actors/actress on soap shows.

  • I so believe that.

  • Wow, you are very androgynous looking

  • Comment removed

  • I want to ask something. Are you Bi-racial or Bi-sexual? Just asking! :-)

  • LOL. You haven't looked at Peruvian Soaps

  • But I've looked at Peruvian newscasts! LOL

So, Ive got an idea, haha.

  • Depends on the Channel.

  • I have seen some Peruvan soaps and they can be pretty racist! Many times they don't even have blacks on their shows! It is usually the typical blond rubias etc!

  • No doubt. Blacks are more discriminated in that sense. There are actually a decent amountof Native American actors. Allthough they tend to more typecast. The majority of actors are Euro or Mestizo. One or two clearlt Afrodescent that I can think of. There are Mestizos of ambiguous look that are Afrodescent as well.

  • @Salsassin

Yes true, but they don't identify as Afrodescendants! They might identify as Criollo or Peruano or mestizo etc!

  • lol got your comment and I like your hair - it's cool. Thanks for checking out my Afro-Pinay video

  • Oh, no, honey, that comment was directed towards an ignorant comment under your video, not towards you. I would never be hostile like that for no reason.

I empathize with the discrimination Blasians such as yourself face in the when visiting the Far East, or just us blacks in general.

Unfortunately, the whole world follows a Eurocentric standard of beauty. =/

  • ooo! i know someone euroasian and he is also malay

  • well, i didnt understand to wich video is the response. but you raised really good points there. i agree that the people that they put to represent one ethinicity are must euro mixes.

they never have the full traces of the "race"-asian, black...

its like they fake the identidy of the etnie.

(hope you get what im trying to say w/ my bad english)

and, like the others, i cant help but say that your androginy rules!you´re handsome~~

  • Aw, thank you, you are too precious! I see that you're from my birth country. =]

I understood everything! I'm surprised by how well you speak English, since Brazil only speaks Portuguese.

I'm glad you appreciate my video and my androgyny hehe! You're too sweet!

  • What? Ban biracial models? That sounds racist, i'm biracial and I would feel very discriminated against if I was told no you can't b/c your biracial. Biracial people are UNder respresented and hated especially if your black and white, a lot of full black girls hated me b/c of my skin color. so we need to make our faces known. Maybe i'm confused b/c I haven't seen the video you are responding to

  • What if I said white models are better than mixed models?

  • I'd say in the words of Congressman Joe Wilson, "You lie!"

  • @yak6ex...then i'd say you were ignorant

  • another211

The reason I said that was because someone said biracials are better than black. Then I said well if that's the case then whites must be better than biracials.

    I was being sarcastic. I wasn't serious.

  • The fact of the matter is that mixed race models are preferred over black models and limiting the image of mixed rare women in black media would be beneficial to black girls because they would see women who actually look like them not some washed up version of black. Let's not trivialize race you know what I'm talking about. when we see white women we see just that never will they parade a bi-racial girl as a white woman so they shouldn't do that to black women. Be honest about the persons race.

  • FAKEblackpowerMFer I'm not even going to give a long drawn out response like i usually do on people's videos so i will just end it with: YOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOT !!!

  • I'm not even gonna lie. You're hot as fuck!!!

  • You know that's a dude right...

  • It's almost kind of amusing that you don't think people get that. Are you honestly that gullible?

  • Comment removed

  • no offense but actually I had to look twice, and i get what you say about the bi-racial children being given to black parents on televisions, but here is something although i am not bi-racial i do know and have many relatives that are and they all don't look like what many expect African and white bi-racial people to look like

  • I know there are, but I was speaking majority-wise. Majority of unmixed African American couples of brown or dark complexion don't have children like Sabrina LeBeauf or Jennifer Freeman. I'm not saying it's rare, because of course it's not, but it's not as vastly common.

  • (I don't mean to be argumentative in my comments not that you have been i'm just warning )its rare that you will find African Americans that are not mixed somewhere down the line and the way that genteics work its possible for african americans to have children that look biracial when they seem to be of a darker complection. but i do agree television does not do very well with picking bi-racial or non bi-racial actors

  • Yes, well that doesn't just go for African Americans, it goes for virtually every black person in the diaspora.

  • Um the reason why some people might look birracial is because THEY ARE! You have to understand that African Americans have VARYING DEGREES of mixtures of races! They could have kids that are lighter than them because of the mixture of races in their bloodlines and family!

  • Precisely, like Henry Louis Gates.

  • Exactly! yeah I was responding to jodien1! Thanks for backing me up!

Yes because people are IGNORANT! At least you aren't!

  • Hi Marllon, I just wanted to apologize to what I said before or If I offended You. By the way, I know you consider yourself a black person, but you don't look very black to me, anyway I just feel that it's wrong to force someone to acknowledge only one half of their ancestry, because I embrace both, kudos.

  • @gatheringleaves I don't disagree with identifying with all sides of your ancestry. I'm just stating that at the end of the day, to the average person in the U.S. you're still black, regardless if you're mixed or not.

One example is that a lot of cab drivers in New York will drive and ignore blacks wanting rides. They're not going to care if you're mixed, because to them part black and black is the same thing.

  • I have to agree with you on that, I am not very dark but almost everyone considers me black and it annoys me, however I think that with you personally, you don't look like a black guy at all, if you want to self identify as black that's fine but I personally feel you look like and Arab or Italian and you also look like a drag queen. I'm not trying to offend you just voicing my opinion

  • I look like a drag queen, because I kind of am one, but I don't see how you mentioning that is relevant whatsoever to the topic at hand... It's like someone telling me I have dark hair and dark eyes, I don't see the point to the comment.

I agree with you that I look North African and/or Middle Eastern, however not Italian. Strangers commonly assume I'm of Morrocan, Lebanese, and/or Algerian background, but it's impertinent if I strongly resemble those ethnicities, since I'm not of Arab b/g.

  • thats exactly what im saying you should see my family one big rainbow

  • are you a man or woman

  • @rotena25

idk! but he or she is disgusting as fuck

  • Wonderful perspective. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you, and no problem! ;]

  • just like alot of mixed people,i had to put up with white haters and black haters when i was growing up,but it made me strong.

  • this is a dude.

  • question for all the black people: do you think obama is black or not? haha wtf

  • More like mix,but more black wtf lmao.

  • You seriously need to post more videos. This one is on point, and ur sexy.

  • pic's would be nice too lol

  • yo, you not black son. Forealz!

  • According to whom? I define me. I have sub-Saharan African ancestry and that gives me the right to self-identify as black if I wish to do so. Is Barack Obama not a black man despite his admixture?

Mixed-race blacks may self-identify as black if they wish to. There's no written rule or law preventing us from doing so.

  • Fuck Barack Obama. i only like him because white people say he's black.and he will help us get a dark skinned President one day and he got power. but you , you not tough enough and your too damn friendly just like this powder puff white people who like Black people. we dont want your help. We want soldiers who are hardcore and darkskinned.

  • right on. i love the way you think <3

  • Thank you. :-)

  • no problem (:

  • @Marllon

Exactly! after all the one drop rule makes biracial people thus black so if you want to identify as black go ahead! More numbers for the black race lol!

  • Yes, indeed, chsn09!

  • lmao. it's a beautiful man! :) look at those fucking features.! GORGEOUS. What are you like an ugly black bitch?

  • I know that I'm late here (I just met you about a week ago) but well done on your commentary! I guess it's fair to say that I share similiar views as you do regarding a need to putting limits on the false misrepresentations of European Standards onto non-europeans. Thank you for being HONEST, lol!

  • No one is ever late. =]

    An you're welcome! I couldn't be anything else. :-)

  • Yo , wassup wit dsis? why you fuckin wit dis cracka? you shoulda commented on this video wit one of your other accounts . fucks wrong withyou?

  • What the hell? Just because you THINK someone is ugly, you thin that it proves all bi racial are ugly? Look, you're wrong. And I think you need to get some education. There are so many idiotic people here on Youtube it makes me sick.

  • What does Bi-Racial even mean? We are all the same Race = Human!! We all need to love our individual appearances, whether we be white, brown, black, red... colour is only skin deep!

  • I wish everyone saw it like that. =/

I rarely use the term "race". I mostly use the term "ethnicity" when getting into these kind of topics. We were all the same ethnicity at one point. It's evolution, migration, and climatic adaptation that has divided us in different features and pigmentation. It's sad that many people have allowed this to become a factor in prejudice.

Thankfully, the physical is only a temporary duration, and we'll get to leave this flesh when death comes.

  • We are all flowers in a meadow! We grow, we bloom, we wither, we return to the earth! Every flower is unique, in so many shapes and colours, it is diversity that makes the world beautiful!

  • 'Tis true!

  • Ethnicity and race really aren't the same. Ethnicity refers to culture, not a person's appearance. For example, Xhosa, Zulu, and Swahili are all different ethnic groups, but they all have the same race-- black or African.

Ethnicity doesn't have much to do with appearance or how your look. Evolution doesn't create ethnicity, shifts in culture do.

  • My bad, I meant to say mutation, not evolution. Some homo sapiens had to adapt to their locations and therefore mutated into their phenotypes.

It's true what you said about culture creating ethnicity, though. That's how ethnicities start out, a group of people staying together and only intermarrying within themselves, eventually all their descendants develop and distinct phenotype and an ethnicity is born.

  • develop a distinct phenotype*

  • ugly personn

  • this girl is fugly. Some biracial people are beautiful, this however is a bad mix.

  • its a guy :s

  • I simply love this video. You are an amazing speaker. I love what you believe in. I commented about a week ago on a MIXED CHICKS video, and what I replied to your comment may have sounded a little aggressive and rude, and I apologize. But I love your androgyny! :D

  • Misunderstandings happen, so all is forgiven. =]

Thank you for the positive energy and compliments! May the universe gift you with blessings to come. :-)

  • no problem :D

  • Are you a model?

  • Thank you, you're too humble.

  • hey whats up

  • I'm not sure if my other comment is posting.. But by the way, I love your androgyny. You are a beautiful human being. I am a bisexual female and I'd love to be able to get that sublime ambiguous look sometimes. I think it's sublime anyway. You should post more videos though hun :)

  • You are most polite, dear. Thank you, and I will try to continue making more videos.

  • Your cool, make more videos. :)

(im the person who you commented to about the "English" hair, haha)

  • OMG!! about the Mexican thing...I am Mexican and look more native but can pass for Indian pacific Islander and half black half Asian . It is so true about the soap operas and i feel embarrassed by it but unfortunately many native and mestizo are brainwashed since young and hold a very racist view about themselves....except the ones who are in the US we seem to be more proud of our ethnicity for some reason..but most Asians do that shit too...selling your soul to racism.

  • Very true what you said about many mestizos and some Natives being brainwashed with self-hatred in Mexico and Latin America. Unfortunately the Mexican and Latin American media caters to a very heavy Eurocentric ideal.

You're also spot on about Mexican Americans and Hispanic Americans of Native and/or mestizo extraction are being much prouder of their ethnic background than the mestizos of Mexico and Latin America.

  • great video!! sorry it took me so long to see it! i loved hearing you talk about this :)

  • Thank you so much, Tiffany!

  • wow, you are gorgeous boy! hehe

  • Awe, thank you! :-)

  • I invite you to the true religion of Islam is a religion compatible with all human beings, a religion that respects rights and respect the animals and respects all the respect For all people ...

  • are you male or female?,,,,what a shame one have too ask,, if youre fight the mutt cause, whos fight the black plite? maybe the 25% in you? maybe not

  • ???

Your comment is completely irrevelant to my video...

  • "mutt"

thanks pal. that makes me feel wonderful about myself

  • this was a great video! i liked that you said what you thought, but had something to back it up. you had facts to go with your opinion. i think thats pretty cool. and again, great video. :D

  • Thank you for your kind comment!

  • oh well you're welcome!

  • u speak da truth....thnx god

  • Thank you!

  • Good video with great points.

  • Thank you for sharing! I loved your video! I don't agree on banning bi-racial models either because it's unrealistic to exclude bi-racial models because bi-racial exist. What I'm really trying to say is that are people so far gone that we have to go to such great lengths to get the ethnic beauty put on screen. But I do agree with what you said about the Mexican Mestizo my bad thanks for the correction. At the end of the day it's attainable beauty that we should all go for.

  • Thank you, maipai101! YouTube is not very reliable sometimes when it comes to updates. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed my video! It's disheartening that we're smothered by a cavalier media that only supports unfeasible beauty.

I'm glad there's someone like you canvassing these issues in such a compelling manner. Keep up the good work! =]

  • LOL!

  • OMG Youtube never showed me your video response! They are such retards!
