Sounds 2me like he smelled u. Thats what they do, when u dont know what happened 9x out of 10 they smelled u. If the wind is not 100% steady at in one dirextion they prolly smelled u. As a sneaky trick my buddies and i chew gum to keep our breathe fresh... Coffee esp makes for terrible scent just by breathing

Im 15, my dad shot a nice buck yesterday. I saw a nice 9 point comin at him today, the buck walked passed me at 60 yds, i grunted a few times and was able to turn him, he came around my tree and stopped behind two big trees where i could only see his rear end, at 20 yds, he took a step and i drew but then he turned around and shot back up the hill, he wasnt spooked, i dont understand what happend

Latecomment but when you made those sounds at the end, IT DOES WORK! I did it to my doe last year and she let me take another shot at her. Next time try a deeper bleet sounding noise. I made a bleat sound and she stopped dead. Pulled back, and WHAM had her down within 50 yards of my stand. But anyways it is a good technique which does work so don't let anyone tel lyou it doesnt!!!

Anyone know anything about single lung hits ? I hardly get pass throughs but iv'e read that you can even take deer with 6 inches of penetration . Hell I bet even 4 in inches could POSSIBLY take a deer , but why the hell would you be shooting a bow with that low KE and penetration ( not talking about this video )

It almost looks like you skipped the arrow off his back. I like to range my area using blaze orange rags, scented with attractant, and hung on sticks every ten yards. Not only does it give me better accuracy but sometimes has allowed me to get a better shot when the deer stands to smell the lure. Better luck next time.

Young deer anyways! what I consider a successful hunt no matter the size is just like yours, calling him back. Now he busted ya in the tree but in Illinois during November there usually aint a leave anywhere but the ground.

no cover, I was busted the second the stand was hung. I didn't care, it was fun getting a chance to get out and hunt with my buddy. It was the only chance to hunt that year.

____The deer was looking for another deer. Jimbo grunted at this deer from 100 yards, and he came, but when he got there he knew something was up.

**Jimbo and I call this hunt the "RUMPSHAKER BUCK" because I was so nervous I would be seen, my leg was shaking so bad, Jimbo could feel it shaking the tree. :)
