And Dino isn't kidding that he'll help you. I had a problem at one point and emailed him. He got back to me right away and worked me through the problem. Ampeg is good people and good gear.
My first 4 pro i got in 2003, the left channel fried under waranty guitar center replaced it with a new one, the current one i have worked great for 6 years untill last week and the same thing happend, running 4 ohms stereo into ampeg 8X10 2X15 cabs sounds amazing awesome. Will not buy another new 4 pro since its China Made now.
BAD IDEA -ONLY if U don't want the weight!!! I got a LMII AND an SVTII(300w all tube). the LMII with a sansamp pedal will get U close, but there's NO comparison to the real deal of POWER TUBES.. none of this tube PRE amp & S.S. power- need ALL tube. I admit tho, the LMII/Sansamp bass driver gets more use these days. BUT for the big gigs/important ones-the SVT ALWAYS is THE ONE!!!!
I LOVE my Mark Bass LMII amp- it never ceases to amaze me with it's power/warmth & EQ possibilities... I STILL am an ALL TUBE bassist foremost, but when I can't be bothered luggin' a 100lb(in rack-case) amp as well as the cab, bags basses etc.... the LMII get's PLENTY of use & it does it ALL really well!!
I own an SVT 4 Pro.I am having some difficulty finding a 3 space road case for it.Who makes the 3 space hardshell road case in this video, and where can I get one?...Help!!!
it sounds good for real ?? i never got a chance to try the 3 pro but. i was fortunate enough to get a SVT-4 with the Ampeg 8x10 cab. im a huge Jason Newsted and Rob Trujillo fan so i wanted to get their sound as much as i can... but my understanding was that they use 4 svt-3's for their live setups so i wasnt sure if one svt-3 (since i cant afford to buy 4) was enough to power the 8x10 cab...but thats cool though glad to hear it sounds good !!
I think the 3 PRO is a great amp. & thru an 810 it'd KILL, & give HEAPS of volume. Trick w/ 3PRO is to use the GRAPHIC EQ's level control. Push this up full, ignore the clip light(to a degree) adjust yr 'tube voltage" control & U'll get a good Overdrive. I'd STILL reccomend an ALL TUBE Ampeg. An old SVT will NAIL that sound far more than a 3 or 4PRO. But if U wanna stay w/ S.S. power & tube pre-then 3PRO is a good amp! Let us know how U go.

You won't find a 3 Space rack. You will have to get a 4 spacer.

It would be a very nice thing if you were to donate the SVT-4PRO as well as an 8X10 to me.
It would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
