I showed this to my three (very acquisitive!) little girls- 9,8 and 6- and I think they got the message- certainly that they don't really have any genuine needs by comparison with other children in other countries. It also made them laugh, something that my "starving children" speeches over the dinner table never do!It would have been nice to see more of what the "alternative gifts" do actually provide.
