Why is it that a direct-to-video martial arts movie made for what looks like my credit card limit with no notable names in the credits made by two former Power Rangers alumni looks more coherent than some multimillion dollar Hollywood movies by big-time director's who seem I have no idea how I edit a fight scene.
I can't wait for the expendables 2 to come out cuz people will be like "this scott adkins guy is awesome he's gonna kick ass as an action star!" and i'll be like "yeah, go see ninja, undisputed 2, undisputed 3, the shepherd, and assassination games and then come talk to me about scott adkins.
@DW1014 i disagree. Scott is just as fast and can also do the acrobatics that Jaa does. and he's stronger than Jaa... apart from all of that, honestly his moves come out smoother on film than Jaa. I'm a fan of both of them tho. comparing Ong bak and the Protector to Undisputed 2 and 3 or even Ninja you'd see Scott would come out on top
Absolutely great film with awesome fight scenes. Scott Adkins is currently my favorite Action star. He's amazing. Mika Hijii was great too. This film is one of my favorite Non-stop-action films of the 2000's - along with Jurassic Park 3 (2001), Running Scared (2006), Ultraviolet (2006), The Condemned (2007), Shoot 'Em Up (2007), Eagle Eye (2008), The Tournament (2009)
you know adkins is definitly awesome and so is jaa I hate when they compares them jaa is obviously more versatil than adkins because of his size and weight but hell adkins is big and fast as hell for someone of his size ¡¡¡ to my view he is the best ¡¡
this movies plot was all over the place. but i have to admit, this dude has skill. i saw the lateef crowder fight too and yeah, this guy is badass. i hope someone books him for a much better movie.
IV, V, VI, VII, VIII y muchas mas.
aww man that kinda ruins the movie.. 1:39 i doubt that table would have really protected him from the bullets.. unless that guy is shooting a .22 or something.
No matter if a martial art actor is stronger than an other martial art actor. The most important is abilities to make a fight scene great. Adkins , Tony Jaa, Yen, Chan , Jet Li.We just need great action scenes, that's all!!
Scott Adkins has a lot of potential to be a big star. This guys skills are amazing. He has a selection of all kinds of his own stunt which most likley created alone. I hope the best for him and his future career.
Brilliant Action film. Scott Adkins looked amazing as leading hero. He's really better than Van Damme (his idol) and he can fight in reality unlike Hollywood so-called "action stars". Now I hope they'll make the 2nd film.
Great movie! I have byed it a few days ago, really enjoyable movie. Specially Scott Adkins is awesome! I would love to see Scott fighting against Tony Jaa!
@PathGrinder Scott would kill Tony Jaa. i really think people give Tony way too much credit. He has alot of fancy moves but he's no real match again veterans likes Jackie Chan or Jet lee who can really fight in real life. Not that Tony can't fight but it would be a short match for him.
@shamim13333 Tony is a great Muay Thai fight but the problem with that style is the lack of balance and while Tony has proven that he can pull off some moves, he has yet to master them the way Jet, jackie or even Scott has. Jet and Jackie had way more years to master and strength their skill while Scott knows more then one style. Muay Thai relies on the stance so he's gonna have a hard time fighting these guys in real life if they move to quick with they will. Your thoughts?
@CrimesonWitcher tony is better then what the movies show the moves he does like elbows and knees do more damage then they show you should see ong bak2 he shows his skill with weapons and ground game and breaking peoples legs in 20 different ways while drunk but i still agree with you jet, jackie and scott are more experienced with more fighting styles
@kogahfire56 To replay to both Koga and Crimeson all the stars I have seen have been doing superb jobs in the action industry. Yes Tony Jaa has a ways to go, you can see he has great arial capabilities and is still improving. Jet Li and Jackie Chan are probably the two of the "Four Fathers" (so to speak) in todays Martial Arts Action movies. Its really hard not to hear either one's name when it comes to movies. Scott Adkins is one of brits best, so don't hate, watch Undisputed 2-3 and u"ll see y
@jnru43 Continuing.. There are other famous stars you might have missed out on. Donnie Yen, Michael Jai White, Stephen Chow (More Comedy/Action movie), and many more from Japan to Korea. But to note all stars have great merits under their belts. everyone ha their own take on who's the best and who's their worst. take it in stride, they make movies for us to enjoy and feel empowered (in so movies). so enjoy the show and leave the arguments to jack-wholes who think they know something
@mets3214 Where did you hear that? He may be acrobatic enough to mimic those movies but I'll need to read it for myself. Be able to do the movies isn't enough to say that you've mastered them. I just remember hearing him practicing Muay Thai growing up.
@sonicmark87 , that kick has been used in Hong Kong cinema by several artists at least since the 80's. I've seen Yuen Biao done it a couple of times when he was younger. He was more acrobatic than Jackie Chan...time does not forgive...:(
i need to get that movie *AGAIN*

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Tony Jaa would lose to Jackie Chan & Bruce Lee..
But...
Tony would smash Scott's head with one knee kick in 1 second....
He'd beat Adkins and break all of his bones and limbs....
SCOTT ADKING SUCK TONY JAA BALLS
Thats all....
P.S . Muay Tai > Kick Boxing > other martial arts

What a bad ass. He takes like 5 guns away from those guys and doesn't use them to shoot the bad guy. That wold just be too easy for him I guess.
