Was Norman Wisdom's film "On The Beat" named after this song? The reason I want to know is because the outfit George was wearing kinda matched the policeman scenes in Norman's film.

@RochelleK1994 It has always puzzled me that George sang ON THE BEAT but the film was called SPARE A COPPER! Then Norman Wisdom did a film called ON THE BEAT! x

Normans film was not based on George Formby's 'Spare a coper'
