Its not armed, its inert. Note the BLUE BAND behind the nose cone. They launch those with compressed air and my guess is that they didnt compinsate the weight of the torpedo for the amount of pressure they used.

I agree with what he says. normal provide air in a flask for this- I think US uses 3,000 PSI. This was intended to be short distance- joke on viewers. They took some big risk - did the calclulate wieght pressure distance or just guess - or experiment moving upward with pressure to get this much motion.
