  • Timeless

  • Is the guy in the background George Michael

  • @heroheroic The song is sampled from Michael's song Father Figure, but...you don't really think that him in this video, do you? (The last time I checked, George Michael wasn't black.)

  • @COMPFUNK2 my God i didi u idiot

  • OMG...and here I was thinking I was the only one missing the artists from those days!!! Thanks guys, brought back sweet memories from when music really could be felt, had a taste and a color to go with it.

    Bring back the 90's!!!

  • PM Dawn. Great music.

  • yo what happened to these creative videos

  • Still Luvin this track! damn!

  • Comment removed

  • i like the way the way the skinny guy dances.. giggles

  • @novemberrain719 -fantastic story, mate. i can totally envision that cause i was the same age then and can imagine how incredible a night that must have been.

  • What a great jam from the 90's :)

  • PM Dawn = KRS-ONE!

  • I miss the 90s. Great music, great TV, real economic growth.

  • This whole album is good. I haven't heard this in 15yrs at least, good song.

  • no 1

  • ....LOOKS LIKE A DRUNK TARANTULA

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ON HIS HEAD?

  • i wish so badly they'd come back.

  • This was a good time for music...I was a 90's brat and a grundge junkie, but I always loved PM Dawn singles...they were different, just really melodic you know?! Anyway, sweet 16's turned 34 here, holy crap I'm irrelevant! Bring back the 90's and the girl I let slip away, HOLY NOSTALGIA!

  • @nickynice7111 LOL I am 33 now and you hit the nail on the head!

  • @Rhyminology101 Hey bro, I'm glad u identified w/ my comment, it seemed in the 90's we felt music on a different level; it was such an integral part of our life and experiences. I wish I cud go back and never let her go! In Crystal Baller by 3 Eye Blind, he goes "I wanna be your crystal baller / Wanna be your diamond ring / The one I never gave you..." Great stuff, give that one a listen if you never heard. Oh well, enough of my pining, happy holidays guys!

  • @nickynice7111 LOL, man i hear ya. They could have been maybe one of the last great innovators of pop R&B. And I especially hear ya bout what good times and memories cherished due to the 90's.

  • @nickynice7111 ha ha....time waits for no one ;)

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!! :)

  • i like father figure better... way better... but the sample fits them tho.. that chill soothing rythm.

  • i still remember the lyrics!

  • PEOPLE! PLEASE! I BEG YOU TO BRING BACK THE 90'S! PLEASE!:(

  • sure beats the nigga shitmusic u get today

  • PM DAWN FUCKIN LOVE EM

  • FUCKIN LUVIN THEIR THEIR STUFF ,MY YOUNG YEARS COMES TRUE ,

  • was he a big ass sissy?

  • This is called...poetry.

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! I have always been a fan of this unique group. This is my fav by them...i think....it's hard....I love them all....never get tired of their music.

  • just love it!

  • P.M. Dawn were simply without peer. Prince Be had this unnerving knack for melody, and his lyrics, delivered in that soothing, questing, aching tone, challenged the brain as well as melting the heart and affecting the tear ducts. Unquestionably a pop/rap classic, unlike the po-faced douchebags that followed.

  • @silverpilot1979 Oh wow, didn't know his name.

And I always thought the intro was an homage to the artist again known as Prince...

  • you guys do know that the background music is George Michael's "Father Figure" right?

  • @greekteka yes, but some people don't...

  • @greekteka ....... uh, yea, so what? 8- to 90% of artists sample other artists music u freakin idiot

  • @mikepatanella do you feel better now?

  • taking it way back to...gosh...1993? wow.....

  • i missed this tune... so haunting

  • i coress the infinate light that even at nyte ova shadows the moon that sings for you...love dat verse still..

  • LOVE this song!

  • That still one of amazing song by PM Dawn. Please make more songs.

    I love it!

  • Great group wondered what happened to them!

  • @chanzalicious the youngest left and was replaced by his cousin.. the lead singer had health problems but they Back

  • @MissCTJ thanks for the infor MsCTJ, I loved this group very much!

  • They were pretty amazing, but this song was nothing more than a Michael Cretu knockoff. Listen to the stuff that he did when he recorded as Enigma in 1990 with his wife Sandra Cretu - this just sounds like "Sadness" with an urban twist.

  • They were so unique. What happened to these guys? We need more artists like these guys. Every group should aspire to be this unique.

  • George Michael and Michael Jackson provide the best samples if u want a successful career

  • This was an awesome album

  • OH YEA!!

  • Straight good memories

  • Oh yeah Hugh!I agree.great music indeed.

  • nice to see im not the only oldie digging through these old goodies

    funkyfartbox@yahoo.co.uk

  • 1993 - Senior year of high school, 17 years old, Grad-Nite was @ Disney Land with a bunch of other L.A. area schools, they closed down to the general public @ 9pm then reopened at 11pm till 6am. Bunch of HS kids running around Disney Land all nite and we got to see PM Dawn perform near Space Mountain in tomorrow land, This was my jam! I remember dancing to this song having the best time trying to talk to this girl Megan. We ended up at Tarzans tree house for awhile later ;) Best times!

  • @novemberrain719 the 90's were so awesome such a different time!

  • @novemberrain719 Hahaa...I can picture your story in my head brotha, this was a song that always involved romancing a girl; Us 90's brats always took something from music, it actually meant something to us, the words and the way the melody invoked a special mod!... I wish to god I never let her go! Be well bro!

    ~~NickyNice

  • I agree I love the 80's & 90's damnnnnn they was the good years...

  • one of the many songs i grew up on in the days omg do so miss those days

  • this is real music.

  • i like that bass and drums and the lyrics always hit me last

  • I like this one as George Micheal "Father Figure"

  • LOL...the audio...OMG. Someone send this person a decent audio file.

  • Kind of a hip hop Tears for Fears

  • @mitchikaboola Explains why I love them so much, I never really thought about that lol. Tears for Fears is pretty much my fav band, I love George Michael (Father Figure used as a sample here), and I love PM Dawn.

  • @RockoJulian im a George fan too, i wish he would have been in the video

  • @mitchikaboola I would totally agree with that, mainly because the lyrical content is so forward-thinking.

  • This is a classic and it is shame these type of music don't hit the air waves as much as the garbage that is being played today.

  • He's got a touch o' that Mike Tyson lisp.

  • The LYRICS : Damn !!!! AWESOME !!!

  • I love these guys, great harmonies. Why can't music be this good now?

  • I was seventten whenthis song came out. WHAT MEMORIES IT HOLDS FOR ME!!!!

  • OH YEA! Whatever it is i do i try 2 think of you!

  • I've told this to Doc and Prince Be before..I was afraid to open my "the bliss album?" cassette, because I knew I'd spend spring and summer of 93 locked in my room in deep thought because of it. I hope Prince Be gets better. I know this sounds selfish, but I want more from them. This is clearly so much more than just a "hit" from the 90's.

  • not "died", sorry about that crap mistake. he suffered a medical issue leaving considerable paralyzation.

  • Love that this vidoe has classic hip hop images and he's wearing lace over his eyes......show security and confidence in his originality....like prince.....its HOT really.

  • OH YEAH@ HughMungus2k9!!!!!

  • I was 13 when this came out, vintage high school music & memories!

  • @joefactor I was 12, turning 13 as well too.

  • Another great song from my senior year in high school!!!!!

  • THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF MY SON EVERY TIME I HEAR IT I THINK OF MY BABY

  • @justbeingmedaily me too..

  • @ralphandshelly me too

  • @justbeingmedaily me too..

  • I want a PM Dawn reunion.....

  • @WilliamYoung74 as soon as he gets better i am his youngest child Mia:) and i just had to reply i love all the comments i read about my dad!! thanku!! ill be sure to tell him what u said:)

  • @WilliamYoung74

You were 11? Well, Trying be 16 years old!!!! Really makes me think, I have wasted my life!

  • Love 90

  • my mom pushed me and said she need to look this song up when I WAS watching a sims 2 video D:

  • I'll admit I do NOT like this type of music but man this guy definitly knows his poetry!

  • Please some karaoke Guru out there, make a scrolling karaoke of these great songs. Peace!

  • "Looking Through Patient Eyes" is my favorite song of all time. Listening to it takes me back to when I was ten and my aunt used to work for Kinkos in East Lansing. She used to take my sister and I to East Lansing quite a bit and I remember hearing this song on the radio because it was pretty popular back then.

  • I am doing a PM Dawn tribute at my reception! And, yes it will be AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • this song was dedicated to Jesus

  • come on man, you cant be ripping off my man George Micheal for your beats...

  • @reaper69316

99% of the beast rap/hip hop artists sample and rip other artists tunes.

  • wow, so many memories....

  • Hey Is the guy whos always rappn GAY?.. Cuz ive seen some pics of him with makeup n eyebrows done.

  • now this is music

  • Cathy Dennis? Is she the woman in the veil (or at least the voice)?? The chick who sang "Touch Me All Night Long"? I never knew and I grew up in the 90s!

  • Aaahhhhh! It´s with stunningly talented and beautiful english singer Cathy Dennis who had many hits on both sides of the Atlantic in the early 90´s and has written "Can´t Get You Out Of My Head" for Kylie Minogue and "Toxic" for Britney Spears but is way better herself!

  • were they at now they need 2 drop more songs they were b4 there time

  • Love this! Sublime lyrics from Pm Dawn mixed with a legendary George Michael sample topped off with some great back up vocals from Miss Cathy Dennis x

  • This song is written to Jesus...Such a GREAT song! It still holds true to this very day...

  • okay so we all know that meaningful, poetic lyrics are the best form of song. But when a black man starts rapping like Shakespeare that's crossing the line

  • I think everybody should listen to this song.............

  • it good to see someone do a remix of a song and not use F*%K, Bitch, whore. I miss the days when music included thought provoking and meaningful lyrics. I use to listen to this cd (Yes no ipods) over and over. The greatest generation will always have it best.

  • @Martingwolf I hear ya. It seems like right after this everything got really foul. I cant really see anything even coming out like this nowadays. As a child of the 90s I saw it happen but I guess I didnt realize what was going on. Things are so much more crude nowadays and I wonder why that is, and where things changed?

  • Whatever happened to these guys. PM Dawn write me a song.

  • @heidilally DJ Minute Mix left the group in the early 2000's and was replaced by Doc. G, who is a cousin of them. Also, Prince Be, who has had a lifelong struggle with obesity and diabetes, has suffered two strokes and had to get his paralyzed foot amputated.

  • @RocStarr913 Thank you so much for your response. Have a great week

  • The lead singer remindes me of T-Pain.

  • @mr9ball29 - I'm going to assume physical resemblance, not singing talent right? ;)

  • "Father figure" from G. Michael is somehow very different. The lyrics as well !

I like PM Dawn song so much more.

  • I left reality early due to the lack of Love...deep lyrics

  • this is a George Michael song merged with PM Dawn

  • Love this song!

  • I remember seeing the film clip for this song when it came out and I also bought it on 100% Hits Volume 8 but until recently I never suspected that Cathy Dennis was featured. I miss the days when Miss Dennis was a singer. :)

  • Tune!!! The woman singing in the video is Cathy Dennis who wrote Toxic, Cant Get You Outta My Head and a lot of other pop songs!

  • reminds me of when i was a senior in highschool. the last great decade of music.

  • patience 2012 2012 2012 is memory bliss or apologies as a science in ETERNAL TRUTH

  • @HughMungus2k9 ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhh X )~

  • @HughMungus2k9 Word! I know some artist makin' good music now! Planet 2wo Productions, facebook that group!

  • @HughMungus2k9 I think we know what the next 20 years will bring, mate-nothing but the same never-ending shit the mid-90s 7 beyond have been giving us: just more of it & there's far more than too much about now! You're damned right about the 80's & extremely early 90's being the best.

  • @HughMungus2k9 OH YEAH!!!!!

  • @HughMungus2k9

    OH YEAH!!!

  • @HughMungus2k9 OH YEA!!!!!!

  • @stetion Great memories!!

  • @mroa412 Yup. This song contains a sample of "Father Figure."

  • more like a hymn or a prayer than a song

  • Why is he wearing an eye mask? Is that so he doesn't have to see how many calories are in each Twinkie?

  • Bliss. pm dawn

  • good memories and good times thows were the days

  • Love PM.Dawn unconditionally !

  • Holy crow, every line is amazing.....I love you PM DAWN!

  • It's too bad that REAL R+B and Hip Hop died in the 90's. They just don't make REAL shit like this anymore.

  • love this song................beautiful memoires

  • I used to love this song in high school. I have been re-discovering classics I had forgotten. I would put this song in my best 10 for sure. Brings back really good memories of the 90's.

  • man brings back some good memories

  • open up your mind and it will sing to youuuuu!....that's my favorite part!

  • What a wonderful song...I had forgotten about this!

  • PM dawn is an example of music made from pure emotion you gotta love it

if your a deep person you really have to appreciate what they do

  • pm dawn is the best please make more great music last i heard new music was coming out in 07 I am waiting with patient eyes and btw my favorite is die without you

  • Ford GT8806: pain wont go away.....patient eyes....needed.

    Shaggy.

  • @Ellesig2021 I know right.

  • eddie murphy was such a fan of them

  • I couldn't agree more, this, and all other PM Dawn songs I have ever heard are just beautiful and speaks to such a great audiance through peace and truth. Rock on!

  • The music and arrangement are high-class. But Prince B's vocals are amazing, and his knack for a melody is spot on. Close your eyes and you'll swear it's vintage soul oozing from your speakers.

  • Today's rnb artist really piss me off with the amount of sh!t that they produce! I chose not to listen to them as nothing will compare to the rnb of the 90s era.

This song is in a total class of its own and songs like this bring nothing but great memories of my younger days.

  • @IrwinMFletch Totally agree with u, forever the 90's thats all on my ipod not the crap out now
