I saw a longer version. The police car passed the ambulance and went to a gas station to back up another officer. The ambulance driver supposedly flipped off the officer while he was being passed or while the ambulance passed the gas station. I assume the ambulance driver flipped off the officer because he felt the medical emergency was more important then the officers joyride.

The Officer wants to arrest the driver for the gesture and being that he officer is no longer needed for backup has plenty of time to administer justice. After all one must Protect and Serve yourself first from dangerous gestures. Since the officer is also Docter he quickly determines the person in transport is in no real emergency, people joyride with the lights on all the time.

The EMT appears to believe the lady taking the joyride is having an emergency for some reason (Just because he knows how to put on a bandaid doesn't make him an expert). And suggests that the Officer conclude this asswhooping at hospital after the joyrider arrives safely for the buffet (they have good food there). The Officer then decides the EMT is out of line and the driver needs to experience "dropping the soap" in jail at least once in his life.

After all we know the middle finger is an ancient gang symbol that causes road rage to this day. The officer was doing him a favor. If some one else would have seen this gesture they may have overreacted. And the Joyrider in the back of the ambulance could have been in real danger. The Officer saved a life. We should applaud the fact the officer remained calm, quickly set priority's and put others safety before his own.

If you were driving as a civilian an lets say had a child in the car with you, and an ambulance, when NOT running code MUST follow the same traffic law's as every other vehicle on the rode pulls out an cuts you off running you off the road, this is the response you would expect a police officer to give to that person, or you had you been the one committing the crime. Simple case of road rage,, if a citizen did it we would go to jail,, but the trooper wears a badge and is above the law,, Point blank the trooper should have took care of this at a later time when he cooled off and not on the side of the road,, he was pissed off and it turned to road rage, he should be fired considering his unprofessional attitude here and the fact the medic told him they had a patient onboard.... the trooper could have done this professional but chose not too.

It wasn't an emergency. Dickhead driver did not have emergency equipment on. Dispute/violation was between the driver of the ambulance and the trooper, not the dickhead in the back.
