  • superb...work

  • Hey there, some lovely work in your reel. I don't know how you feel about animator to animator crit but I'd like to suggest a couple of things if I'm not being too presumptuous. You're obviously very skilled at FX animation and inbetweening but have you considered loosening up your keys a little a-la Glenn Keane? I know its fun to do the smooth and silky, but it pays to play with thumbs and roughs to get the timings good and punchy before diving in to filling the gaps

Keep up the good work! :D

  • 0:28 0:34 you animate hair really well. I`ll keep drawing and hope i get this good someday.

  • MAKE MORE!!! :D

  • I can see alot of pochahntas and brother bear in the way you animate and draw people.

  • I hope I can learn from someone as talented as you. I look to you as the one to keep the ancient ways of hand-drawn animation alive.

  • Hey, what type of software are you using? i really whant to animate but i cant find any good software. Any particular suggestions?

  • @simplelee92 Please read the article I wrote (link in movie info, I can't post links here)

  • @simplelee92 I'd say Toon Boom Animate or TVPaint.

  • great work excellent and superb..........

  • I wan't to animate like that. I want to Animate !

    how do I learn ? :'(

  • magical and awe inspiring!

  • this is beyond amazing im going to the animation buisness myself

  • Your so talented. I've been drawing for my entire life and I took a part-time 2-D animation course a year ago and realised how difficult it is to accomplish what you want without a team. There's nothing more than I would want than to assemble a team of animators-- I have so many stories and ideas I would love to execute.

  • I was wondering, as you're an animation fellow, how do you work exactly?

I am studying animation directing, so I lack the actual animation classes and have to learn by myself.

Do you first do the (of course keyframes) animation with overall shape and then add details like hair and clothes movement later on, or do you just do it at the same time? Or on new layers of tracing paper?

I admire your skills and the fact that you also work "at home".

  • @CrudityDevArt Since I'm the one doing everything I can skip steps. my keys are usually almost final (I have a very clean line). I need all the detail to see that the animation works. but that's just me. sometimes I work with thumbnails first and then create the keyframes. I think each animator create his own way of work. in the movie info there's a link to a huge article I wrote. it will answer a lot of your questions. also check my portfolio, I have keyframes there, it might help. good luck.

  • The animations of yours are so amazing You can see you put so much effort in this and when Isee that the official clip only has like 18k views...It deserves so much more!! You are really talented!

  • @Vampireshine So help me out and send my movies to all your friends and ask them to spread it around. :-) thanks in advance.

  • Random... dog in a hula skirt dancing....

    Ok.

  • Your animations are beautiful!

I hope we see more of you in the future, you got a real talent! :D

    Keep up the good work!

  • Very very good!!!!

  • Good luck!

  • your animations are beautiful

  • I love your pencil test for your film.

    Very good and impressive!

  • very nice work, hope to sse more in the near future

  • I love your pencil tests ; ;

Is it hard animating by pencil?

  • @Cookieluv246 I actually find it the easiest from all other mediums I know. but of course it depends on a lot of variables. computer animation does have its advantages, but for me to create classic 2D animation - pencil and a light table is the most comfortable way.

  • @lpdisney I've heard people use that a lot.

I know Disney uses that, but are light tables expensive? And are they really big generally?

  • @Cookieluv246 Depends - a professional one (which is the whole table) could be 1000$ maybe less. BUT you can build one from scratch like I did. I asked for a carpenter to build me one and it cost me about 60-70 USD. google it up, I'm sure there are tutorials out there. it may also be called "animation table" or "sketching table". good luck.

  • Oh good god.

    This is beautiful.

  • I love looking at pencil tests. :D Really lovely work! :)

  • nice
