  • right now im recording on a boss br-1600 system and was thinking of making the switch to record with this software, do you think its worth my while or is the system im using just as good quality?

  • @ganjaking187 A DAW would be like Pro Tools or a program like that. In the long run (over years), it's probably going to cost you more money, especially if you're gonna record a whole band, but I personally feel there is far more you can do with a DAW. If you can connect your br-1600 to a computer, I encourage keeping it, since it would be very cool to use it with a DAW. However, if you cannot, I would encourage looking into the pros and cons of switching.

  • @ganjaking187 Just because I am a fan of the software doesn’t mean it would be better for you. Since you’re literally dealing with thousands of dollars here, I would research this for months and talk to people who are into this sort of stuff before deciding for sure. I have an online article to show you relating to this subject that may help. You can’t post urls in comments so I’ll message it to you.

I also plan to write an article about this on my blog that may help you out.

  • @AOMCmusicTutorials if i could use my br-1600 with software that would be sweet, ill look into that, the main reason i want to switch is cause i have a midi drum kit and i will be able to use addictive drums and make my drum kit sound a 100 times better. thank you so much for the advice i really appreciate it. peace
