usualy at sunrise ill use a 4 stop nd filter and a nd grad cokin. or i might bin the grad and exposure bracket for photoshop editing. or sometimes if the clouds are moving away or towards. ill use a B+W 10 stopper for a real slow exposure. slow exposures can look crap sometimes if clouds are moving sideways, seems to lose the feel of depth and if clouds moving too fast, it just looks a mess or blur
nice video there i just got a ge x500 digital camera saturday or friday anyway im still learning how to take pictures at night with out differculties in seeing black with the flash on
@shillise Thank you so much lovely, I have a million more and have grown in methods and beauty but have yet to post or create, but will have to do so, thank you again ;)
Its easy to take great sunset/sunrise shots and you don't need an expensive camera or filters or any special lens. Most people end up with blah shots of sunsets because they let the camera set the values and of course the camera has no idea what you goal is. First go to Apeture mode set to around f/stop of 5.5, snap the shot, note the shutter speed the camera set itself to. Probably will be around 1/1000 sec. Go to manual mode, same F/stop, double shutter speed. Now shoot. Bingo!
no problem you deserve an award for these shots there incredible..well thats actually an understatement lol
also i was wondering if you could tel me which camera youd rather shoot with a canon eos 7d or a nikon d3 im going to photography college in a few months and i wanted some opinions from fellow photographers so i can make my desision between these to amazing dslr bodies please help!
These are truly magical shots you have taken. I'm so glad I am able to view your shots are they inspire me so much. What I would like to see is a tutorial from you showing everyone how you get such magnificent shots.
I am honored and flattered beyond words by your generous words, but unfortunatly I haven't a camera to record only to shoot! LOL! However, if you ever need anything don't hestitate to ask. Thank you again ever so much!
Hey i love this video it actually inspired me to go and take a picture of a sunset too and luckily my camera had a setting so the sun doesn't glare. It would be awesome if you checked it out its in my only video first picture.
You will have you to let me know once you post up a video! Hope you have a blast and remember to play with the settings for the different outcomes. You can't go wrong! Have fun and thank you for such a lovely comment!
