the swell's not man made but the very important "back wash" which all epic waves do have! is from a 'strait refrac wall... jetty that blocks % fresh# water into harbor [which is stinky!/toxic] don't swim in smelly...

The jetty is totally unrelated to the waves at Mavs. The wave comes from swells hitting the shelf out there...
